I, Alice Hollingsworth, hereby declare my intent to attend Twilight Academy. I swear upon my life to speak not a word of it to any person, being, or spirit not of the Academy, and to uphold its laws and tenants to the best of my ability. I also attest that all of the following is true and accurate, and that I am not omitting any information from the Academy within this Contract. I understand that the Twilight Academy is concerned with ability, not morality, and that any criminal past is not a bar to entry, but I will be expected to refrain from acts which might reveal Twilight Academy to the public, including being caught breaking any federal laws or using my powers before any person not privy to this information already.
Applicant's Name: Alice Hollingsworth
Age: 17
Power: String Manipulation
Specialty: Support
Short Self-Description (For Identification Purposes): A delicate, willowy girl of 17, standing at 5'2''. Her eyes are a soft blue, and her hair is a pale blonde let loose in a curtain behind her head, with her expression often a small, vague smile. Her voice is equally soft, amplifying the sense of her softspoken nature. Alice's dress sense tends towards the simple, albeit elegant, with old-fashioned dresses in blue and white comprising the majority of her clothing. She also wears white gloves, extending up to her elbow in size, albeit discarding them when casting magic. She wears a small, sleek silver bangle on her wrist, which at once resembles jewellry and advanced technology, but almost no other jewellry of any sort bar a small hairpin in the shape of a hollyhock, the family symbol of the Hollingsworths.
In battle, she is able to activate this bangle to equip the Reichmann Amplification Gear, which appears on her as a skintight leotard, designed with two green stripes on the left and right and a white strip running down the center. Her exposed hips and shoulders are protected by a black undersuit. On her chest is mounted a glowing yellow core set in a silver chestpiece covering the rest of her chest and linking the core to the back, where a small cylinder is inset into the back of the piece. Two rods stick out from the each side of the cylinder, with small jets in the underbelly allowing for Magica-based
propulsion. Her hands and feet are protected by metallic gauntlets and greaves, with ports in the gauntlets allowing for the synthesis of string to aid her magic.
Short History (For Records): The Hollingsworth family is an established family of mages, with their roots in the country of Pendragon, with the art of magic passed down through the family line. They have grown to be aristocrats among human magicians, known for massive magical potential and skill, having grown rich off their schemes and contributing to many magical causes, including the SABT Conglomerate. Indeed, it grew as a great shock when the 74th successor of the Hollingsworth line, Alice, was born seemingly with no magic potential, when all other members of the Hollingsworth family had been born with magic potential from birth. Despite their best efforts to awaken it, Alice seemed to be a mundane born of mages, much to her mother, Marianne's disgust.
Her mother was ashamed of her and had to be talked from disowning her, while her father Philip, a mage from a lowly family who wanted the best for his child, raised her with loving care, taking care to grant her a good education in the supernatural as if she had been born with magic. She grew to be skilled at several things, chief among them sewing, technological work and the art of magic, even if she couldn't use any herself. She also went to mundane school, with a reputation for high grades and her sweet nature winning her popularity among her mundane friends. It was here she grew to appreciate mundane people, an unfortunate lack of which many families in the higher echelons of magical society were guilty of. This sense of justice and caring was one her father encouraged and nurtured, and he was proud of his daughter for having grown into an admirable young woman.
However, serendipity struck when she volunteered at SABT, a company concerned with the use of magic and technology, as a test subject for an Amplification Gear device as part of a work experience. She was only supposed to wear it for a fitting, to see if it was possible for a human to wear, but an accidental magical discharge and an interaction with the Amplification Gear caused the device to awaken Alice's latent magic, allowing her to produce and manipulate magical string, where all previous efforts had failed. Fascinated by the results, SABT gave Alice the Amplification Gear and had her sent to Twilight Academy, partially to fund her education and partially to assess the performance of the Gear on someone who had been awakened to magic by it. Meanwhile, her mother, long having given up on her daughter, finally paid her daughter long-owed attention. Perhaps too much, come to think of it.

Device Name: Reichmann Amplification Gear
Device Type: Advanced Wear
Device Composition:
NB: Unless noted, all components of the Gear are stored within the Dimensional Container Apparatus.
Reichmann Magica* Absorption Core: The power core for the Gear, designed to power the whole apparatus via absorbing the ambient magical energy and the magical energy produced by the wearer.
Reichmann Dimensional Container Apparatus: The container for the Gear when not worn. Derived from the magical storage solutions for Genei Senshi armor, the Container Apparatus stores the majority of the Gear in another dimension, summoning it with magic when necessary.
Reichmann Scalar Magnification Core: The main mechanism of the Gear. When paired with outputs of magical energy, it amplifies the effect of magical abilities.
SABT Standard Issue Genetic Wear: Protective wear utilised by other SABT Gears. The Wear detects the magical signature of the wearer and adjusts itself accordingly to fit the wearer, providing advanced protection from physical and magical trauma. The Wear's composition consists of 20% proprietary SABT Protective Fibre, 30% Magica, [EXPUNGED], [EXPUNGED], and [EXPUNGED].
SABT Magica Propulsion Gear: Man-portable propulsion devices used by SABT Gears, powered by Magica. The Magica output of the device tends to manifest in the form of stylized wings. The Magica intake of this apparatus is massive, tending to make weaker mages unable to use this Gear and cast magic.
-[DESIGN SPECIFICATIONS EXPUNGED]-
Notes:
- The designs for the Reichmann Amplification Gear and associated apparatus were written by their namesake, the late Bernhard Reichmann, based on research derived from Genei Senshi armor designed to kill malevolent supernaturals. The device was intended to allow parity between humans and supernaturals by allowing access to magic through the device's functions.
-The Reichmann Amplification Gear produces the amplification of magical abilities already possessed by the wearers. Laboratory testing has displayed an almost 60% amplification of magical abilities when worn, with often dramatic effects on magical output.
-Reichmann Magnification Cores, when used in conjunction with sufficient Magica, have been found to awaken magical potential in people without latent magical ability. This effect will be studied further. Several test subjects with awakened Magica as a result of this have been equipped with Amplification Gear prototypes for testing.
-Amplified artificially produced Magica has been found to be 80% stronger than non-amplified latent Magica, compared to the 60% amplification observed from using the device on naturally-awakened mages.
*Magica: Term used by SABT to refer to magical energy. This term was adapted from the writings of Bernhard Reichmann, designer of the Reichmann apparatuses that are in use in various SABT Gears.
I, Acair Campbell,, hereby declare my intent to attend Twilight Academy. I swear upon my life to speak not a word of it to any person, being, or spirit not of the Academy, and to uphold its laws and tenants to the best of my ability. I also attest that all of the following is true and accurate, and that I am not omitting any information from the Academy within this Contract. Applicant's Name: Acair Campbell
Age: 17
Power: Electrical Infusion: Acair can infuse objects with magical electricity, allowing him to create 'hotspots' where allies can heal themselves via a bath in electricity, traps which shock enemies on contact or impassible walls of electricity. Acair can also slightly manipulate electricity outside of infusion in powering small objects with it, though he cannot, say, shoot thunderbolts with it.
Specialty: Technical
Short Self-Description (For Identification Purposes): Acair is a tall boy of about 6'4'', standing tall even for a boy of 17. His frame is toned but light, reflecting the build of a rugby player who works as a porter at the bakery occasionally; there's little, if any, fat on his body. His hair is a smooth black, and his rough, tanned face with narrow eyes and high cheekbones resembles a thug's. His voice is deep, but not overly so, and his whole appearance belies the boisterous, if occasionally fastidious personality. He also wears a small sun necklace; a 17th birthday gift from his mother to celebrate his adulthood, with a dress sense that seems rather casual, even for a school.
Short History (For Records): Acair grew up the magical child of a non-magical parent -Karen Campbell, a hostess at a bar- in the outlying townships of Faderness, the capital city of Wenceslas, a small country bordering Pendragon to the west. Acair received a normal, if slightly eccentric, upbringing as his mother, though slightly confused about his magic, tried to give him a decent upbringing, sending him to school and locating books for Acair to learn from. Acair occasionally worked odd jobs to watch out for his mother, mostly working at the local bakery; his mother had instilled values into Acair as a child, among them respect and industriousness, that Acair took to heart. In school, Acair did surprisingly well, being among the top students, but lacking many friends despite his genuinely gregarious nature. Perhaps it was his eccentricities, or the fact that, niceness aside, Acair's build and face was such that he seemed like a thuggish bully. This persisted even when Acair proved to be a good rugby player for his school, winning quite a few games. Of course, this never really bothered the boy, and he was always content to keep on going as he had been for years, seemingly oblivious to people's hatred of him and always treating others as kindly as he could.
Of course, when Twilight Academy gave him a scholarship to allow Acair to attend, his mother pressed him to attend to improve his talents, despite his worries about her. She told him to attend and have fun; she'd only be ever to raise him so far, and it was time he grew up and sought his own path into the world. Of course, Acair wasn't alone in Faderness in attending Twilight Academy. He also brought with him the other student who was sent to the Academy from the city, a young girl by the name of Medea Alcris, a childhood friend of his. He was always the one to drag Medea out to adventures, even as she shied away from them; indeed, it might have been that she would never have come to the Academy had Acair not reassured her he would come along. Together, the two set out for Twilight Academy, leaving behind the comforts of Faderness and Wenceslas to become better mages.

I, Medea Alcris, hereby declare my intent to attend Twilight Academy. I swear upon my life to speak not a word of it to any person, being, or spirit not of the Academy, and to uphold its laws and tenants to the best of my ability. I also attest that all of the following is true and accurate, and that I am not omitting any information from the Academy within this Contract. Applicant's Name: Medea Alcris
Age: 17
Power: Gravity Manipulation
Specialty: Combat
Short Self-Description (For Identification Purposes) Medea is quite short, dwarfed by most of her peers at 5'. Her hair is chin-length and wavy, blue as a result of a magical incident in her youth. Her frame is quite delicate and frail, and her skin is rather pale, giving one the impression of a fragile china doll, especially contrasted with the sharp blue eyes upon her soft face. Her voice is rather flat and unemotive, reflecting her own restrained emotions. Her silence is the response most people glean from her, though even her flat expression can convey many things, almost as many as a more emotive and expressive person. Medea also wears a crescent moon bracelet on her left hand, the family symbol of the Alcris family, and her dress sense is rather restrained, with very simple and modest choices.
Short History (For Records): Medea grew up in a township of Faderness to the Alcris family, an esteemed and ancient wizarding family, and was born to a human father, Achille, and a nymph mother, Daphne. Although she was pampered as expected of a child of such a prestigious family, her family was relatively distant, with her parents always away and her siblings studying at distant academies already. She was educated in magic and other matters by tutors and doted upon by butlers, as well as sent to mundane school in an attempt to allow her to get used to the awakened world. As such, Medea grew somewhat cold and distant, keeping to herself and not really opening up to anyone bar a child from her neighborhood, a boy by the name of Acair Campbell, and her sisters, Circe and Hecate. Her sisters grew concerned about their youngest sibling, but, being in Twilight Academy, could hardly intervene with their sibling's neglect.
Medea was accepted to the Academy on the basis of her massive magical potential; even accounting for her half-supernatural heritage, Medea's ability with magic was among the highest in the thousand-odd students they had scouted out. Of course, Medea was reluctant, even with the encouragement of her sisters to attend. It was only at the (incessant) urging of Acair that Medea finally chose to attend, on the condition that Acair watch out for her. Acair, of course, hardly had any choice in the matter; Hecate had threatened to castrate him if anything happened to Medea. Of course, when her parents heard of it, they were hardly surprised; the Alcris family had sent students there since its inception. They were hardly congratulating her entrance, either; Medea, at most, got a nod and the promise of money to keep her in the Academy, with nothing more. She went with Acair, her only friend in the whole world, to the Academy, abandoning Faderness and Wenceslas to forge their own paths in the world.
