Rhadamanthys remained awake. He was always awake.
He leaned by the cabinet, whirling his sword about, muttering to himself.
"Heh....how I miss the good old days.....me and Alith, kicking asses back to back......"
He sighed and took his hood off, sure that the party was asleep. He took in fresh air and stretched his legs.
"So long since I left the Lazarus. So long ago."
Rhadamanthys seemed lost in his memories, until he took out a small picture.
A picture of a grey-haired, but young woman in mechanic's garb and a commissar's hat. She was next to Rhadamanthys, who was smiling and carrying a cricket bat. They were happy.
"Heh. If only."
He put the picture away. If anyone were to see his face now, they would see that he was holding back tears.
Maria was sleeping by now, and so was Alistair.
