"Mistress, pleas-"
Chiron raised his hand in protest, but he vanished in blue fire before he could. Anima turned to Abraxas.
"Stay by me. I need a steady *cough* hand, Dominator."
"As you wish, Summoner."

Anima moved back, her glove caked in blood and stayed away from the fight, Abraxas at the ready. Anima remains winded and cautious of entering the fray.
"Abraxas, do your best to help..."
"Done."

Abraxas stays near Anima and away from the fighting, but hurls orbs of slowing shadows at the scaled women, hindering their movement and damaging them.

Anima clutched her staff, coughing up blood, and Chiron, burnt but alive, rounded to her side.
"Mistress! Allow me!"

Chiron, using his knowledge of magical healing, attempts to heal Anima.
Anima summons Abraxas to defend herself, commanding him to throw down slowing shadow orbs at any enemy who draws near.

Meanwhile, while Anima doesn't have an impressive magic stat, she makes up for it by having the potential to zerg rush enemies with the Wild Hunt (her powers work by summoning up to five entities, and the Hunt counts as one, any more than five entities and she is physically incapable, the earliest summoned monster disappears unless power upgrade).

Yeah. I was trying to put her in another position but:

Nuriel, Not Kyle and Gintama have stronger magic
Anima, Gintama and Not Kyle are more durable
Anima can turn the tides of a battle with summons, and Gintama is Gintama
And almost none of them have anywhere near Chick-ish behaviour.

Theoretically Ghost can be anywhere else, it's just that she's outdone by others in the position (Not Kyle is more classically heroic, Nuriel is more of a contrast to him, Gintama is more boisterous and Anima is more aloof and haughty).

I've got a theoretical setup for FMBs in both forms.

Normal:
Hero- Matt, being the nicest and affable guy, with a comedic sociopathic drunkard magical form.
Lancer: Maria, being more focused and having a focused, elegant, benevolent magical form.
Big Guy: Kyle. Lugging around ten pounds of armor tends to help.
Smart Guy: Angel. Obvious.
Chick: Selina. Even more obvious.

Magic:
Hero: Not Kyle?
Lancer: Nuriel
Big Guy: Gintama
Smart Guy: Anima
Chick: Ghost

Also, I think Selina's the chick in human form. Angel's more the smart guy, and Kyle's the big guy. That leaves Maria and Matt.

Maria assumed a combat stance.
"Alistair, get clear. Now."

Alistair knew enough to follow his sister's orders and ran for safety. Maria assumed Anima form, her voice changing to match.
"You aren't alone in battle, fellow battle sister. Chiron!"

The summoner swiped her staff in the air, and Chiron appeared, ready for battle. Anima herself prepared for a fight.

Heh. I thought Gintama was the big guy, on previous reading, seeing as his magic form was taller than Kyle's. Then again, Anima is taller than both, and she's more of a lady of war than a bruiser type...eh. We need to fit everyone in a five-man band somehow....
Hang on a minute. We DO have five, I think.

Maria/Anima
Kyle/Not Kyle
Matt/Gintama
Angel/Nuriel
Selina/Ghost
If we have Connie as Team Pet (lol) and Alistair as a Tagalong Kid, that makes five and two spares.
