Anima's voice was double layered, but it sounded strangely melodic.
"So we're all magical girls and boys here, except Alistair....hopefully."-

Alistair shrugged.
"I want to be one, but I don't know how, so I'll just sit here, cheering you on!"

A staff appeared in her hand and she transformed into Anima. Alistair looked at her, shrugging.

Maria, who had been approaching him, jumped, scared by his sudden movement, before processing what he said.
"Magic girls? What?!"
She had to pretend she didn't know about them, even though she was one herself.

(Alistair didn't even notice Connie or the eye. This on the other hand...)
Maria let Alistair go and pushed him behind her, eyeing the man suspiciously.
"Sis, what's-"
"Shhh! Quiet!"
Maria looked to see if the man was moving or not. Alistair then ran to Selina, who had fainted.
"Miss, are you alright?"
While he busied himself with checking how Selina was, Maria sighed.
"Sorry, mate. My brother wouldn't leave me and I can't leave him alone."

Maria looked around. Alistair was panicking.
"Sis....what's going on..."
"Get inside."
"But..."
"Get inside, Alistair. Get our things and run home."
Alistair shook his head.
"Sis, I'm staying with you.....I'm too scared to run home by myself...."
Maria sighed. Alistair, in his current state, wasn't going anywhere without her.
"Fine. Just stay next to me, and keep close."
Alistair seemed not to have noticed Connie or the eye symbol at all. All he saw was the fading of colours.
Maria lifted him up and jumped down into the manhole, taking care to make sure both landed safely.
