Richard blushed slightly, then continued.

....
So Richard stayed in the local mall, past their assigned curfew. He just killed time, not realizing he needed to get back. He went and played in the arcades, until just before midnight.

He had bought a coffee and was just about to sit down when suddenly, everything stopped.

The lights went out. Everything was illuminated by a green light from outside.

The fountain behind Richard was now filled with blood.

Everyone around him had turned to coffins.

And there was a load of scrabbling sounds nearby.

"Oh shit."

Richard coughed and took a deep breath.
"Sorry,needed to stretch
....

So Richard went over with nineteen other lucky students. They went to some island area near Kyoto; apparently they needed to know Japan wasn't all cities and crap.

Except the island was as city like as you could get.

Anyway, Richard enjoyed it there, having fun, killing time in the arcades and wandering around.

That is, until the second night.

"Ok. Then. Let's begin. Quite long story."

Richard thought back to two years ago, when he had just started out in Roehampton College.....

Richard was walking around the corridors, getting used to the place. He noticed a bulletin board.

On it was a poster saying 'Creative Writing Contest! Win a slot on the Japan trip!'

"Awesome! I'll try out. I've always WANTED to go to Japan!"

After hometime, he went home and began working on a piece about a catgirl with nature abilities, deconstructing them as the piece went on.

Two weeks passed and he submitted it. He got a place on the field trip.

"Little did I know I was about to be changed forever. Sorry for the melodrama, I'm a bit dramatic."

He sighs.

"I still owe you that story, don't I?"

Meanwhile, Alith comes in, dragging a large piece of blood moss behind him.

"Anyone mind telling me what this stuff is?"

Richard gets up.

"The hell's going on?"

"No other powers except being annoying, floating and pickpocketing.

Kill him if you want. The asshole's pissed me off enough times.

Alith headed off to the hive.

There is nothing to be found. Whatever attacked had managed to disappear completely.

Silence.

"Bloody hell. HIM."
