"If I am correct, then it'd be two lovers you're talking about. Those are often the most dangerous relationships to be in. The other can get killed, the survivor goes insane, wants revenge, or secludes himself from the world, you know how it is."

Meanwhile, Alith attempted to read her mind to figure out who it was they were talking about.

Meanwhile, nobody had noticed Alith was watching the rest gamble. He had already forgotten about Daero. Then, he heard the conversation about relationships. Interested, Alith piped in.

"What's this about someone being an exploitable weakness?"

Alith smiled and drew his sword.

"Ah....Fir'Syleth. I read your mind, and your next actions. You think I assume much? I do not fear you. I do however, know I am outmatched."

He ran towards the lower decks, knowing that if he attempted to engage Daero in melee combat, he would die.
"I need help...ah...they'll be gambling. I can sense minds in the gambling room."

He knocked on the gambling room's door.

Alith saluted Anya. He then left without saying anything. It was his way of thanking her for her cooking.
"Now, time to reflect on things."
He stood at a balcony, looking out on the sea, waiting the night out.

Today
Alith woke up. He had been asleep on the deck all night.
"Gah...why didn't anyone wake me up?"
Then he saw Daero, with the dried blood on him. Alith sensed something was going on.
"Oi, Daero, where've you been?"

Alith watched everyone else from his seat, over the far end. He looked at everyone enjoying themselves. He himself never knew something like that. He had been forced into a life of assasinations, murder, and theft from the moment he could shapeshift. He drank a small sip from his mead goblet and watched.

"If only I could join in so easily.....being an outcast from society, a thief and a murderer doesn't make it any easier. Especially when all anyone's ever thought of you is a tool to be used."

He continued watching, his mouth curling into a small smile at the drunkeness of Rae and Tali.

"Those two.... if ever they were separated... the other would not be able to live for long. Not without going insane or depressed."
