Bah, I don't have that problem. I make him a dedicated butcher (remove all hauling labors except ones concerning hauling the dead things to the workshop and cleaning duties).

When he awoke, the camp was ablaze. He could see Urist and Glog pulling people out of the wreckage. And...he could see, just out of the corner of his eye...Tobul half crushed under a fallen beam. 'TOBUL!' he screamed, but he was too weak to even move. He lost conciousness,believing that when he woke up, Tobul would be no more.

The walls of Winterdirge are stained with blood.

A gobbo invasion arrived. They were cut down by marksdwarves/gremlins/kobolds/elves/traitor goblins/men (using dfusion lolol) from about 7 posts, accomodating 3 each. Then a naga siege came along....their pathetic bodies were pinned to the ground with bolts.
