Appearance: Maria Sofia is a rather tall woman of 5’9’’, with blonde hair carefully styled in curls (kept up by magic) and rather large assets with a slender, yet lightly-muscled frame. Her style of dress is rather proper, with simple but opulent dress being the order of the day with her. Her usual dress is a white cotton dress with fluffy sleeves, and a knee-length brown skirt with white socks up to her knees, and brown leather shoes. She often carries a walking stick with her despite needing no walking stick, in part because it’s useful for defending oneself and also because it’s rather useful for other things.

As Mage Gunner Amica, her suit  coats her head to toe, with her frame hidden in the suit ungendered frame. The Gunner suit consists of a white, light silk undersuit, allowing for maximum speed, with the only pieces of armor on the suit being a pair of bronze greaves, belt, pauldrons, gloves and a helmet with a black visor and a pair of topaz lights powered by magic to provide light at night. The armor materialises upon her when she shouts ‘Arm Up’ with her left arm crossed over her body and her crouching towards the ground with her fist pointed down, before standing up and crossing her fists over her body to complete the transformation into Amica. Don't ask her where her curls go when her helmet goes on, Maria doesn't know.

Personality: In her guise as Maria Sofia, Maria is rather calm and refined, always attempting to maintain her composure and be polite. She is rather motherly at times, with a soft spot for children, a good spot of tea and an engrossing book. However, she does have a mischievous, coy side she sometimes lets loose, and a temper that is only barely veiled when unleashed by a calm veneer of politeness and refinement. While disguised as Amica, her hidden steel is made clearer, and her inner desire to protect the innocent and uphold justice is expressed when she fights, along with her distaste for dishonorable acts.

Perks:
Martial Cadence: Maria is an incredibly skilled Mage Gunner, even among the elites, and her elegance among equals is prized. Maria gains +1 to Dex and Syn per level up.
Perfect Poise: Maria has a passive 20% dodge chance against projectiles.
Graceful March: If Maria is to be hindered from executing an action this turn via another action targeting her, that action hits after Maria’s turn.
Tandem With Self: Maria has a separate Resource called Tempo, representing her ability to keep calm and stay in rhythm while fighting.
- Tempo builds up by +.5 every turn she damages an opponent, unless an action states otherwise. For Serene Grace and Elegant Vantage, Tempo is considered to be rounded up.
- Tempo resets to 0 upon being used by any of her Tempo-consuming Actions. Tempo maxes out at 10 stacks.
- Tempo Ultima: When Maria is at 10 Tempo stacks, she enters the state of Tempo Ultima, representing her total and utter state of calm. Her Dex and Syn are multiplied by 2 in addition to the other bonuses granted by her passives. This state also unlocks the stronger form of her finishing move, Tiro Finale Maxima.

Description: Maria's personal rapier, crafted by the Gallizia family blacksmiths in Napelli, with a topaz set into the hilt and a shooting star-pattern around the guard. While less useful in a fight than the Gunner Musket, now and again a rapier comes into use.

Bauble:
Name of Bauble: Firenze Nullifier
Effects: When activated, temporarily cancels all battlefield effects for three turns. The cooldown lasts three turns.
Description: A small, clockwork device designed to cancel out magical effects (such as magically induced fog) on the battlefield, distributed to Mage Gunners to allow them to engage rogue Mages in battle without worrying about Magica. However, the range is rather short and the clockwork device must wind back to reactivate the functions once the clock runs its course.

Piercing Shot: Maria takes aim and fires, dealing x1.3 damage and ignoring 25% of RES. Builds 1 Tempo stack. One turn cooldown. (Level 3)
Level 1: 1.1x extra damage.
Level 2: 1.2x extra damage.

Legion Barrage: Maria summons four Magica-created muskets in addition to her normal musket that fire at all opponents on the field. If there are less opponents than muskets, all shots after the first deal 50% less damage and hit the opponents who are present randomly. Alternatively, Maria can choose to focus all shots at one opponent with the same penalty to damage. All shots that land and deal damage gather .25 Tempo. Can only be cast every two turns. (Level 4)
Level 1: One extra musket is summoned.
Level 2: Two extra muskets are summoned.
Level 3: Three extra muskets are summoned.

Serene Grace: Maria remains calm through all battle conditions, her calmness simply increasing her lethality.  Basic attacks and Legion Barrage do an additional (Syn/2) damage, with an extra  point added per Tempo stack for a maximum of 10 additional damage before multipliers. Passive.
   -Lethal Pirouette: Maria executes a lethally graceful manoeuvre to damage her opponent. Roll for normal damage and multiply by x1.2, adding x.5 to the multiplier for each stack of Tempo gathered. This attack does not gather Tempo and uses up all current Tempo stacks. When used, the effects of Serene Grace wear off for two turns. (Level 3)
Level 1: .5 points of damage added per Tempo stack for a maximum of 5 points. LP: x.3 added per stack of Tempo.
Level 2: .75 points of damage added per Tempo stack for a maximum of 8 (rounded up) points. LP:  x.4 added per stack of Tempo.

Elegant Vantage: Maria's movements are rivaled by none in elegance while on the battlefield. Maria passively increases her dodge chance against everything (stacking with Perfect Poise) as her Tempo increases, increasing by 3% per stack for a total of 30% added dodge chance against projectiles. This dodge chance is halved against melee attacks (maximum 15% dodge chance). Passive. (Level 2)
   -Superior Motion: All Tempo stacks can be consumed instantly to ensure Maria dodges the next attack instantly regardless of chance to hit her. However, this removes Elegant Focus’ effects for the next two turns.
Level 1: Tempo stacks grant 2% dodge chance for a maximum of 20% dodge chance. (Maximum 10% dodge chance against melee attacks.)

Tiro Finale: Maria finishes off the opponent with a final shot boosted with immensely strong Magica and aimed with the most delicate precision. Deals x3 normal damage and ignores 20% of armor, with an extra 4.5% for every Tempo stack for a maximum of 65% of armor ignored. This shot cannot miss no matter what. Can only be cast at the end of five turns and every five turns afterwards. This attack does not stack Tempo. This attack consumes all Tempo stacks. Applies Serene Grace. (Level 3)
   -Tiro Finale Maxima: Only possible while Maria is in Tempo Ultima. Maria, in a state of serene grace, fires the perfect shot. This attack has the same effect as Tiro Finale, but it applies an extra (Dex/2)(Syn/2) damage.
Level 1: x2 normal damage, 10% armor ignored, 3.5% extra per stack with 45% total ignored.
Level 2: x2.5 normal damage, 15% armor ignored, 4% extra per stack with 55% total ignored.
