Then she realises someone's messing with her head and the calm dissipates. Oh dear.

They are, however, far less successful on Kyoko.

Kyoko pauses briefly. Then she glares at 6AR, slapping the droid back with a tentacle.
"G-get out of my head! What k-kind of sucker do you take me for, huh? Stupid mind-reading fishes and your stupid powers! I'm not some weak minnow, I'm a great cuttlefish!

Ugh, now I'll stop squidding around! You've made this fish angry! First you gill around beating up fishes, then you squid around and accuse me of this! I-I am an ENVOY OF THE OCEANS and I d-don't need to take this from suckers like you!"

Well, you offended her, you tried to mind-control her and now you pissed her off. Looks like beating some sense into her is the only way now.

Preemptive Strike: Kyoko!
Kyoko delivers a series of quick slaps to 6AR's face in retaliation for the unfortunate droid trying to mind-trick her! Despite his reflexes, he can't seem to deflect the tentacles fast enough!
The first strike deals 10 damage!
The second strike does 18 damage!
The third and final strike deals 23 damage!

Asuka is the next target, as while she runs at Kyoko, Kyoko trips her onto the ground with a tentacle, dealing her 37 damage and stunning her!

The team may move now.

"Excellent. Now, how many of you are familiar with paparazzi?"

Nothing against it.

Remind me, who went on the monster hunting sidequest?

Kyoko looks offended.
"H-Heroic Union?! Do you think I'm one of those suckers?! I am an ENVOY OF THE OCEANS! I-I don't need those squids to help ME!

Y-you think I'd destroy some place like this? W-what kind of squid do you take me for, huh?! I'll have you k-know I'm an upstanding cuttlefish!"
Her tentacles are wriggling angrily. Oh dear, she's just as 'enthusiastic' as Asuka.

The creature twitches, but does not move.

Then Asuka. Suddenly-
"Hey! Why don't you pick on some other squid?!"
Suddenly, a pair of tentacles hurl Asuka backwards, slapping Parov Stelar on the face as they fall backwards. 6AR is also picked up and thrown back.

The tentacles retract back to what seems to be the hair of a red-headed girl of indeterminate, yet young age; somewhere between slightly younger than Asuka and about Penelope's age- with a long, uninterrupted orange dress revealing her arms and going down to her knees. Her wrists are protected by round bangles, and her deep red eyes match her head of deep red hair, topped with a saggy brown hat resembling a ski cap.

Her tentacles seem to be her hair, judging by the fact that they're flailing about in the air, blocking any path to the creature behind her. She looks determinedly at the approaching heroes.
"Just who do you think you are, messing with somefish like that, huh?"

Shopping District
The heroes manage to catch up to the creature, heading into the same alley as it stops at a wall. From behind, it appears to be a humanoid in a trenchcoat and a fedora.

Shina also eats the fancier food.

They stopped.
