I don't get why you say Regrowth is a hardcore survival pack ? There is no struggle for food or security in Regrowth. In maybe one hour or less you can have infinite bread thanks to one seed and agricraft. It's very slow-paced (at least at start), but not hard at all.
Agrarians Skies would more fit into the "hardcore survival" than Regrowth for me.

Btw I'm more for a pack like Tolkiencraft which sounds very cool.

I second that. I found the progression on the last pack too fast. I connected by the first day, couldn't connect for a few days and when I came back everyone was insanely powerful.

I already talked about Regrowth, which I played more and can say that the progression is quite slow. You cannot for example go from tierX material to tierX+2 material. You have to get the tierX+1 material beforehand to mine the tierX+2 material. In the last pack I found a lot of materials that were useless for my pickaxe.
And for resources, it's all or nothing. You begin with nothing, no ores, no redstone, no food. And as everything is based on crops, as soon as you got a resource you have infinite of it.

Actually, a quest based multiplayer Minecraft map wouldn't be too bad, right? Like blightfall, it includes multiple starting points, a large amount of options to go with starts off with the basis that the entire planet is literally covered with taint and you must survive from there.Of course it does have the limited lives thing so maybe not.
I looked for Blightfall and I think it was removed. But a similar themed pack was listed on FTB : Hubris. Taint everywhere and quests and mobs and dungeons and stuff.
And for the limited lives, if it's done by the Hardcore Questing Mode you can deactivate Hardcore mode (limited lives) or set the number of lives but keep the quests.

Or maybe use pack with predefined goals like those with HQM (Hardcore Quest Mode) and/or slower progression with packs with modified world gen or with GregTech enabled.

I already tried Regrowth, and it's cool. Quests so people know what to do next, and the worldgen make it difficult to survive : Only wasteland, no ores, no trees.
And no powerfull tech mods. The main mods are magic or nature based because the end-term goal is to regrowth the world.

Here are some other packs I didn't try yet :
Pathfinder : You begin in a spaceship with RF-Tools equipment and have to build your world with fex dimlets to gather food, materials and survive. Same start for everyone in SMP for the moment. Dev is working on it.
Ultimate Questpack : Normal survival (normal worldgen) with lot of quests. LOT of quests. Would be like the already setted server but with quests.
InfiTech : Normal pack but with GregTech, so plenty of recipes are harder to make (GregTech is really insane).
Blood N Bones : Hardcore pack with mobs everywhere, dying torches, smarter ennemies, modified worldgen (like redstone in nether only) and tornadoes.

That means you have 12 * 7*7*17 blocks for all your turbines ? Oo
So 9,996 blocks in total. This is huge !

But ok, that sucks that we can't make really big turbines.

That's why we need the biggest power plant ever !
Like a 50x50x50 Reactor and 50x50x50 Turbine.
Even without powerlines, we can always use several tesseract for the input and the output.
It would still be challenging and usefull.

I saw that the Mountainhome and Harbortown both have super big power plants with super big energy storage, and both produce way more energy than they use.
Why don't we build a huge shared power plant instead (with BigReactors reactors and turbines), then everyone could put materials/coolant and take energy ?
We would need power lines everywhere with pylons and stuff for energy, fluid and item transport.

Updgrading would be good so we have less bug, like the one that make the cyanite reprocessor disappear if mined with a pick.
I also checked the changelog and there is a couple of new features.

But this time, can you backup the JourneyMap data ? :p

Edit : Better update to 1.3.1 as 1.3.0 has a critical bug.

I've killed another and this one dropped the dust. In fact it drops everywhere on goes onto the clouds.
But still no ore on the island.
Are you sure there should be ore on it ?

Eck. The server is back up but i'm still in the world that makes the crash.
Could you remove the world so I can connect without making the server crash again ?

Edit : Yes. Sorry again. :(

Editē : I think this is a good way to fix the problem.

[Drabonbonia here]
I've just crashed the server when I entered a Descriptive book, sorry.
I thought it was fine because everyone told me to make an age for minning and quarrying.

Hi,

I got this message whenever I try to run ./startlnp or ./PyLNP :

I'm on Linux Mint 16 64 bits.
I installed all the dependances listed in the readme and I have python 3.3.2.
If I luanch the game directly it runs just fine.
Do you have any idea to make it works ?
Thanks.

Hi,
Really happy to see the update ! You made a great work as always !

I encountered a bug that crashed the launcher :
The buttons for the differents manuals are still there and link to inexistent files now, causing I/O exceptions.

Hi,

Is there something to differenciate all the forts we make ? Like an unique hash for each fort ? It would be to save and load data for each fort individually.

I've thinked of the hash from the concatenation of save folder, fort's name, world's name, world's seeds, but nothing unique there...

Interactive lists have to wait till somebody shows me how to do those, because I certainly cant.
If you use Google Doc for the spreadsheets, you can use a frame in you manual to display the documents. But you must be connected to see the tables.

Another method is to use http://datatables.net/download/build/jquery.dataTables.min.js with an HTLM <table id="table_id"> with the following code :
Code: [Select]
$(document).ready(function() {
    $('#table_id').dataTable();
} );
It will give you something like that.

By the way, this is the first message I write on the Masterworks forum but I follow your mod for a while, and thanks for all the amazing work you do !
