((A cameo? for me? I'm flattered.))

As the God-King manifests himself, the once booming party music quickly grows silent, and an ominous chanting begins to resonate throughout the area...

"Alright, who's the motherfucker that just went ahead and decided to reduce an entire galaxy to a cloud of cosmic vapor? I know you're here, and I am not amused. I swear to me, if I have to deal with one more overpowered asshole threatening the well-being of the universe today..."

What do?
The only thing one can do when such conflicts arise in the middle of a kickass party...

Challenge Kirk to a dance-off!

FemShep.
Samus Aran.

Well would you look at that. The two of them just so happened to be having a casual conversation with each other before The Moderator swaggered onto the scene. Clearly, the only logical course of action is to hit on both of them!

You get bad great ideas. Like hitting on FemShep!

bad great idea, or best idea?

>With Blackbeard as your wingman, drunkenly bust out some of your most amazing pick-up lines on the nearest party-going babe. Bonus points if Blackbeard lays down some clever piratical puns while you do so.

Drop everything
Party with Commander Shepard

>Find a way to invite Master Chief, Hercules, and Blackbeard to said party.

Our mission is now to throw the most badass cross-time housebaseparty ever.

should I start a Moderator game now?

If you're feeling antsy about actually getting it up and running, sure.

307
Me and Xant will have our moments as well, once everyone else finishes theirs.

There does seem to be a common pattern of one or two Chosen Ones getting to bask in the limelight for a few pages while everyone else sorta sits back and waits (Hisir during his prison break, Sir Havel with the investigation leading up to his teenage tentacle girl battle, ect.). Hopefully this will level out a bit more once we reach the point where everyone starts posting larger-scale actions, but I'm betting you two (and everyone else, for that matter) will more than likely get at least a few such moments before the game gets that far.

Remind me what my backup extermination plan was?

I have a demonbirdthing now. I should do something impressive. Any suggestions?

Summon more, killmaimburn, use dead body reagents to summon more demons. Repeat.

That's plan B. Plan A is to enslave them.

The sheer awesomeness that is the Moderator makes me wish I had gone with a techy character...

Don't feel too down. I'm sure it'll only be a matter of time before you're laying siege to the world's largest cities with legions of undead fiends and demonic minions at your disposal. :)

Finally got around to finishing the update! It may have taken an embarrassingly long time to do so, but hey, what can you do?

any ideas for a theme?

I'd say something along the lines of an epic/electro hybrid track would be quite fitting for an individual such as The Moderator, but that's just me.

I think I should make a Moderator spin-off suggestion game.

Yay or nay?

Definitely something I'd be interested in following. Go for it.

On another note, I find it highly amusing how most of the people aiming for Unification have some master Extermination plan(s) stored away that they could "Totally pull off at any time...if they felt like it." Yet are still somewhat unsure of exactly how they're going to unify the planet. The second chapter of Slaves to DZA might end up starting much sooner than expected, considering how easily this trial could apparently turn into a brief game of 'who can take out the biggest chunk of mankind'.

Zanzetkuken the Great

"...I suspected you were suffering from some level of mental instability almost as soon as this conversation began, but I didn't realize it would be this severe...you're clearly more than just a little unstable; you're completely delusional."
Before either Zanzetkuken or the elite soldier get a chance to say anything else, a clear and composed voice speaks out through the numerous loudspeakers built into the walls & ceiling of the room, directly addressing the Chosen One...

"Greetings, Planewalker. Very sorry to interrupt the informative little debate you were having with one of our facility's esteemed defenders, but after paying careful attention to this whole situation as it has unfolded, we have come to the conclusion that all of this pointless conflict has been allowed to drag on for far too long.
You see, while your unexpected visit has no doubt been an intriguing occurrence, the tremendous importance and costliness of the many projects we have underway here means that we simply cannot afford to let the work of our specialists to fall behind schedule. Needless to say, your presence is proving to be an increasingly serious distraction from such work. It is for this reason that we now feel a different approach is in order, and are thus prepared to make you a deal; one that we are confident will ultimately be in the best interest of all parties involved:

On the conditions that you agree to never disclose any information you might have acquired regarding this facility or its staff, refrain from causing any more trouble within Canadian borders, and peacefully comply with some minor security procedures before taking your leave, we at Black Maple are willing to completely forget about all of the inconvenience you've caused during your time here, and leave you to pursue whatever endeavors you may have outside of the country free from harassment by our organization or its supporting government. We can assure you that 'The Moderator' will remain perfectly safe while in our custody, and that any and all 'rescue' attempts are both inevitably futile and entirely unnecessary.

Before you answer, please keep in mind that if, for whatever reason, you decide to refuse this very forgiving attempt at diplomacy, you will be leaving us with no other choice but to resort to more drastic means of handling the situation."

The Moderator(s)

Obeying the squad's orders without question, The Moderator slowly lays down on the floor. In that same moment, someone can be heard calmly speaking to his fellow Chosen One through the facility's PA system. Black Maple's supervisors must be running low on options, as from the sounds of it, they're currently attempting to get rid of the Planeswalker by means of bargaining with him...

Other-Moderator

"Well, there was that one time when the genetics department accidentally turned an entire group of volunteer test subjects into feral, subhuman mutants. I'm pretty sure that information is classified, though..."

I think I've seen this before

Won't we have to clone people due to small living quarters?
What about cryopods?
Not that usefull. We're going to have to pack lifesupport and food production systems anyway, so we can use them anyway.
I was hoping for something to be said about the test tube babies here. I expect more from you.

Indeed. Am I going to have to put on my Debate Cap and convince you all yet again that test tube-grown offspring are clearly the optimal choice for sustaining life within our otherworldly colonies?

Goddamn...it is taking me way longer to finish the next update than it should. Sorry about that.

Does anyone know if there's a Valkyria Chronicles, Final Fantasy Tactics or Front Mission thread around here?

I most certainly haven't seen any. Might be worth doing a quick forum/board search just to be sure, though.

I'm waiting for something right?

Just got to wait until we reach a point where a fair chunk of time can pass (around 15-30 minutes) before I post some results for Havel.
Sounds about right.

I wish something a bit more substantial and exciting would happen soon. I'm getting sick of the nice guy routine. I want to knock some heads.
I've just finished reading the Large Ham articles on TvTropes.

PUNY MORTAL! KNEEL BEFORE THE AWESOME POWER OF TORZON THE EVERSHIFTING!

NO! I AM THE MODERATOR, AND I WILL STOP YOUR EVIL EVILNESS!

*cue theme song*

I'm curious, what would The Moderator's theme song be?

Oh, if only I could share some of the plans I have in store for the near(ish) future...

While I'd hate to spoil anything, I can say with confidence you shall not be disappointed.

At the rate I'm posting I probably make up 50% of the posts in this thread.

I'd definitely say you and Vgray are the thread's top contributors, not that I mind it at all; keeps the thread from being lost and forgotten in the abysmal depths of the board.

I can't wait until I get back in the loop.

I'm planning to post Taom's results along with Sir Havel's, so you (hopefully) shouldn't have to wait that much longer. Also nice to see that you haven't completely forgotten about the game due to all the waiting.

Zanzetkuken the Great

"So you're perfectly willing to risk bringing the wrath of an evil, inconceivably powerful 25000 year old wizard upon the Earth for the sake of launching a surprise attack on an organization that had caused you no previous trouble whatsoever...yet expect me to believe that the only reason you've avoided killing anyone thus far is because you're simply too virtuous and merciful to commit an unnecessary act of murder?  Forgive my skepticism, but I don't see why we should consider trusting even a single word you say."

The Moderator(s)

Now beginning to understand the true extent of the power gifted to him by the spectral figure, the awestruck Chosen One's mind starts to race as he excitedly contemplates the myriad possibilities that are open him...that is, until his train of thought is suddenly disrupted when the muzzle of an assault rifle gets pressed against his head, and he is ordered to get on the ground.

Other-Moderator

After a few seconds of silently staring at the Moderator, the soldier sighs and slowly lowers his weapon, before heading back to speak with the pilot once again...
