Looks to me like your bottom stop is set to go in the wrong direction.

Anyone figured out how to unload a cart other than by dumping it?

I double checked-everything, there's nothing wrong with the track or any of the stops.

I have two questions.

1: When I set the bottom stop to "guide" the cart on some condition, they just pick up the cart and carry it to the other end by stairs. Is this how it's supposed to be?

2: In the hauling menu, next to each stop, there's a yellow exclamation mark and there's a text saying "Set dir/connect track". The direction is set, so how do I "connect track"? There doesn't seem to be any option for that.
Both of these symptoms indicate that your track is broken somewhere.

But if I send the cart from the top it arrives at the bottom no problem.

Have you had any of your children been kidnapped by goblins? If a child is kidnapped by a goblin DT will still show it as a viable dwarf in your fortress, however DF will not.

This should not be the case considering one of the ghost dwarves is apparently a competent marksdwarf.

Has anyone seen something like that? DF status screen shows me that I have 195 dwarfs, but DT says I have 202 of them. I also found dwarfs in DT that don't exist in game. They are neither children nor dead. I have both the newest DT (pulled from mercurial) and DF.

Notice, that I can't even see the name of the objects I'm trading with. There's a "cave spider silk <something>" for 1409. It seems to be impossible to see what is it. Any suggestions?

I built 30 barrels just before it started. Is there a way to make them split the wine over many barrels instead of filling them one by one until they're full?

EDIT: after thinking about it for a while... it could have been, that I just had too much food and the barrels were filled with food before wine. Am I on good track here?

I counted 8 dwarven wine barrels. Should be enough for ~80 dwarves, right?

As I said, I have one big burrow encompassing the entire fortress, my dwarves can access every room inside, they just can't go outside.

EDIT: none of the barrels are forbidden, all seem to be accessible.

Beginner here. My fortress has gone under siege, so I sealed the entrance and put all my civilians in a burrow encompassing the entire fortress. The problem is, now they refuse to drink the loads of dwarven wine that's lying around. Most of my dwarves are dehydrated by now and some have already died from thirst. I have two stills brewing 24/7, but it's only getting worse. What's going on?

EDIT: I'm also spammed with messages like "X cancels Store Item in Bin: Job item misplaced". Maybe that's part of the problem?
