If Sakuya uses them while inside the SDM, they must be pretty safe to most things, because she wouldn't risk damaging Remilia's property. But that's only a one on one battle. With all of these youkai fighting at once, it seems like it might be a bit of a 'let's take this outside' moment.

Ulysses Owen looks at the supply pile, and is distressed at the lack of materials other than weapons. Sure, those guys left to get food earlier, but it doesn't matter how much you have to eat if you freeze to death during the winter. And he read on the internet before it shut down that Alaska was still unaffected, and it gets damned cold up there. Still, no zombies and the bountiful natural resources means that it might be a good place to restart, if he could ever get there.
Look around for anything that might be useful in making clothes, like window curtains and such.
