Dsemend walked with the team calmly, slightly satisfied he hadn't been tripping on his own feet for the last minutes. He took out one of the branches and stared at it for some time before turning to Dodson.
"Mister, do you have the tools for crafting a bow and its string?"
If Dodson happens to have those, then craft a large longbow. Or at least the knife, to carve the branch into a bow shape and leaving the obtaining of material for a string for later.
(5)
Dodson looks at you and grins.
"We don't have a string strong enough, but that sorcerer friend of yours found my old survival kit earlier today. There should be a knife in there. Just make sure that his damned bird doesn't take one of your fingers off when you try and grab it.""Don't worry, I'll be careful."You hold the kargarok's beak closed with one hand while digging through the pouch attached to its leg with the other, and fish out a long hunting knife in a leather sheath. After unsheathing it, you remove one of the sturdy logs from your back and begin to carve it, and you soon have a massive bow without a string. It measures seven feet from end to end, and fits perfectly in your large hands.
"You know what, think this calls for a song.
She packed my bags last night, pre-flight
Zero hour, nine a.m.
And I'm gonna be high as a kite by then
I miss the Earth so much, I miss my wife
It's lonely out in space
On such a timeless flight
And I think it's gonna be a long, long time ‘til touch down brings me round again to find I'm not the man they think I am at home
Oh no, no, no, I'm a rocket man
Rocket man, burning out his fuse up here alone
And I think it's gonna be a long, long time ‘til touch down brings me round again to find I'm not the man they think I am at home
Oh no, no, no, I'm a rocket man
Rocket man, burning out his fuse up here alone
Mars ain't the kind of place to raise your kids
In fact it's cold as hell
And there's no one there to raise them if you did
And all this science, I don't understand
It's just my job five days a week
A rocket man, a rocket man
And I think it's gonna be a long, long time ‘til touch down brings me round again to find I'm not the man they think I am at home
And I think it's gonna be a long, long time
And I think it's gonna be a long, long time
And I think it's gonna be a long, long time
And I think it's gonna be a long, long time
And I think it's gonna be a long, long time
And I think it's gonna be a long, long time
And I think it's gonna be a long, long time
And I think it's gonna be a long, long time
ROCKET MAN!"
"Yeah. ... What was I doing again?"
"Oh right, I was doing stuff. Hey big guy, uh, mr ... Desmend was it? Could I borrow one of those logs? One you're not using or something?"
Hogarth, after doing his best William Shatner impression, tries to lift the tree Desmend gives him (assuming he does) a la telekenetic weightlifing, to enable him to lift heavy stuff. Also he tries to remember what he was going to do to control his flight.

Dsemond hands you one of the heavier logs, and you concentrate on lifting it with your mind. It rises steadily off the ground, and it's difficult enough to move that there's no risk of sending it flying off into space by accident. You practice swinging it around, and soon, you find that you can carry it with almost no mental strain. You keep it floating next to you as you continue walking.
*Hogarth's Telekinesis has been improved
Theodore smiles wryly. Double or nothing. He leaned back towards her.
"Sorry ma'am. I still don't quite know if I believe this is real or not. Another one of those should do it though."[/b]
He then noted, with an odd mixture of joy and dismay, that his mind had cleared. He had no clue what had caused it, but he suspected it was either the girl or the magic. Well, after years of a near constant buzz, he was finally back on the wagon. That, of course, was the joy. The dismay was that he was clear headed enough to realize just how bad his line was.
Hope she likes her lines cheesy.

Alice laughs at your horrible line, and you take this as a sign to lean in for another kiss. As you close your eyes however, you stumble over a root and fall to the ground. Alice laughs out loud, and reaches down to help you to your feet. After pulling you up and helping you dust yourself off, she says
"Maybe kissing while walking isn't the best idea out there." You see the logic behind this, and settle for holding hands... for now.
continue attempting to train the kargarok as we travel
(1)
As you walk, you try and train the great bird to come to you when you call it by holding up scraps of food whenever it flies too far away. The kargarok quickly grows ornery however, and knocks you over, eating the few crumbs of remaining food and savagely biting you several times before flying to perch on Hogarth's log. You call it repeatedly, but it only glares at you and hisses angrily.
Look at the woods and see if there are any ambushes placed.
(4) [this roll is for your action]
(1) [this is the encounter roll]
You keep an eye out for danger, and spot a large shape, roughly twenty feet long, charging through the woods towards the party. You takes aim with your musket and fire just as what appears to be a massive wolf bursts forth from the trees.
(5)v.(1)
The wolf tries to leap away from the shot, but slips and falls directly into the bullet's path. The round strikes the beast squarely in one of the front paws, shattering it beyond recognition.
(6)(1)v.(3-1)
The wolf picks itself up and looks for an easier target. Its eyes lock onto Dsemond, and it lets loose a savage howl before limping towards him with surprising speed. The half-oni tries to dodge out of the way, but trips to the ground, and the wolf chomps down on his left arm with an impressive amount of force and shakes it around. Dsemond grunts in pain, but his arm remains attached to his body. The wolf, however, cannot get the giant's arm out of its throat, and begins to choke.
Valinri is going to flee! Fling a globe of darkness behind himself, and run!
(3-1) [for darkness]
(3-1)v.(3) [for running]
You try to create a sphere of darkness between you and the man, but the sunlight is giving you double vision, and the globe appears too far to the right. You turn and flee, but you have to run rather slowly to avoid tripping over obstacles. The commander uses this to his advantage, and catches you by the back of your shirt.
"Where do you think you're going, otherworlder? We've spent weeks looking for that dragon, and you finally got it to reveal itself.""I'm sorry! I didn't know...""There's no need to apologize for helping us out! The bounty on that beast's head was worth a small fortune. My men and I will have all the booze and babes we could ever want when we get back to Vilston!""But aren't you imperials supposed to kill otherworlders on sight?""Normally, yes. But you've got talent, and I've got something that I need. You see, with all of that money that I'll be getting, I'll be expected to have a gladiator to fight in the pits. And I'm not too fond of the idea of spending my hard-earned gold on some prisoner who can barely fight. So, how about we make a deal? You can fight for me in the arena, and I'll keep you clothed, fed, trained, and most importantly, I won't kill you."Party Status:CaerwynName: Valinri

Background: Dsemend was the hybrid son of a relation between two creatures from differents "worlds" and lands. Due to his size, he was stil gladly accepted in his home village as a way of keeping bandits away from the cattle and the peasantry. His size hindered his nimbleness slightly, mostly due to his sheer bulk which was compensated by strength and endurance.
He had taken a taste to helping the villagers perform hard labor, and when he was assisting with moving some heavy caskets, a couple of evildoers tried to rob a store nearby. He didn't even blink, and used one of the coffins to take them down, using its sheer size as a large club. Afterwards, he was given the coffin as a gift and gained the nickname of "Undertaker" as a joke, mostly due to the fact he adopted the large piece of stone built to store corpses as a weapon, and creating corpses with it ended being quite the irony.
