Debating pro and cons of vampire vs werebeast, though neither seems appealing.

My first successful fortress had a water reservoir right next to the entrance, which could be opened to make the fortress untouchable by goblins. Of course, I had no drain, and actually getting my dwarves out again would take a month or two, but it stuck in my mind as my first true fortress.

Eh, I might become one just for the heck of it, but the "drop everything you own upon transformation" thing sounds meh.

I thought there were 3 syndromes which excluded each other..? Oh wait, mummifying is a thing, too.
And that probably means my necromancer can actually become a werebeast. Just need to find a suitable one.
Or, do necromancer vampires still need to drink blood?

But then you'd only do it to kill the necromancer, since you couldn't become on yourself.

Escaped the caverns with a masterwork azure long sword, currently using it to kill evil beasties. Also unleashed 300 or so zombies on a town before that.

GCS have [EXTRAVISION], but they do have eyes. Then again, Dralthas don't, so I'm not sure how they work.
Are there actually any light sources?

Also, would it be possible to add tags like [TAN_MAT], but completely new? So you could use one of several items in a reaction.

As someone who has never tried modding, but has gotten very frustrated navigating the caverns and the catacombs/sewers, I come bringing an idea, hoping someone can help me make it appear in my game: a way to craft items (potions?) from certain subterranean animals that make it possible for an adventurer to see in the dark. Maybe [EXTRAVISION] ?
As I said, no idea, never tried modding before.

You could drop sand bags, or move the magma up.

Digging, and not just through soil. I want to reach the magma sea and build a pump stack right up to the mayor's bedroom.
