This would explain everything as I am a relentless hater of the presidential system and greatly favor parliamentarianism.

Yeah, but the upside of parliamentarianism is it's supposed to offer greater variety and proportionality of representation, right?  The superdelegates thing seems like it goes the exact opposite direction.
Naah. Look at the UK: Their parliamentary system is designed to keep out smaller parties just like the US one is, albeit less extremely so. The main appeal of parliamentarism is that it involves more people in the decision-making process, making it less dependant on the whims of a single guy who happened to win an election and more aligned with the collective's will.

For greater variety and proportionality of representation you need the additional condition of proportional representation. Combine that with local representation à la Bundestag and a threshold of about 5% and you've got a pretty much ideal system.
So the German says the German system is the ideal system, eh? ;P

Did you go to the Shetland Isles? How big are the ponies?

Did you go to Orkney too? Are there really Orks there?
Neither, unfortunately, though I did see a couple of the ponies elsewhere. They were... pretty darn small. Easily short enough for someone to standing-jump over one.

I enjoy reminding people who get too raa viking much warrior so barbarian that this is what the iron age norse rode on.
That, and they wore fanny packs for their hairstyling implements. And bathed weekly, which by medieval standards was like taking every bath in a mix of alcohol and antibiotic sanitizers.

Honestly, Vikings seem more like Skwisgar Skwigelf than Conan.
Vikings were the metrosexuals of the early medieval period.

I think we're talking about entirely different kinds of kebabs, here.
Still! Those photos are pretty cool! I remember all the dodgy street vendors in Indonesia, that was always fun. I'd challenge myself to eat from the sketchiest places and see if I got sick... I never really did. My immune system was pretty dang good back then.
Nah, most studies of "sketchy street vendors" show that they're pretty safe, on average. Makes sense, too. Wouldn't want to get a reputation of getting people sick, eh? Sure they'll cut corners, and you probably don't want to know what the meat IS, but you're not gonna get E. Coli or Salmonella... Probably. Like 95+% sure you wont

I like the texture of the old borders but the non-overlapping nature of the new ones. Wonder what the problem was, if it was the texture (seems odd that it would be, looks like it's just an overlay)

What the shit.
"Especially when political imperatives require the impossible to be true."  Yeah, I'm sure there's plenty of political pressure to give a firm answer as to the internal workings of the sun *eyeroll*.
"You see, Jimmy, when two hydrogen molecules love each other very much..."
That guy says "deemed" a lot. I count like 4 in the couple of "paragraphs."

I have a very large sad that I cannot divulge the specifics of. It's something that I've seen coming for a long time, but I'm just numb.
Hope you're coping okay, MZ. :(
I'll be okay. Something I've been through before.

Hope it's nothing deadly or terminal or anything.
Not to put words in MZ's mouth, and I'll delete this if he wants me to, but I'm gonna guess he either lost his job, or something happened to Wolfeyes, such as them breaking up.

Ra IS Kim Il Sun.

Not that Ra incarnated as Sun, but that after his death, he ascended to the heavens and became the Egyptian sun god, and alien parasite. You think time has any meaning for one such as he!?

*shrug* somehow I see a difference between accidental death and actively targetted malicious violence/lynching

But I'm going to sleep :V I only brought it up because it made me wtf and it seemed a different enough of a topic ("what trans people are" versus "who would use which terms to talk about trans people")

Anywho goodnight you dorks

It's just one of those things that everyone not LGBT or intimate ally goes "Is so confuse!" and I go "... Why? Take two seconds and think about it logically, dood." So yeah, a WTF for me.
I dunno, it's one of those things that took me ages to actually remember. It seems obvious, but for someone who's uninvolved with the topic, it's also really easy to forget.
In other words, don't assume someone's dumb just because they can't remember a detail related to something they don't usually care about.

ally
Incidentally, this word is a WTF for me. Ally? Are you fighting a war or something?
* Descan looks at the death-toll from anti-trans* violence.

... Yeah?

And I didn't think he was dumb, it just seems really obvious. >_>

Well that's silly. Transperson makes sense. Much easier to understand than trans<man or woman>, 'cause the you don' have to ask yourself "does that mean they're now a man or they were a man..?"
I know (hope) we moved past the trans stuff, but I can't let this one go: I can never understand why it's difficult to know what trans[man/woman] means, in context. Either the person talking agrees with trans* in general, or doesn't. If they don't agree with it, why would they go out of their way to say "Transman"? Instead of saying something like "guy in a dress" or "butch lesbian" or something of that calibre.

And if they DO agree with trans*, then why would they say "transman" to mean a MTF woman, or "transwoman" to mean an FTM man? That would just be invalidating the persons gender identity and would go against the whole idea of accepting trans* people.

It's just one of those things that everyone not LGBT or intimate ally goes "Is so confuse!" and I go "... Why? Take two seconds and think about it logically, dood." So yeah, a WTF for me.

I'm really tired of trying to talk to you, Boh, because you never listen to anyone, and always word things in a very aggressive manner, implying that anyone who disagrees with you is stupid. So I'm done here.
