I have three Steam keys from the Humble THQ Bundle to give: Saints Row 3, Titan Quest, and Dawn of War. I also have a key for Red Faction: Armageddon: Path to War, but not the original game, sadly. :(

I'm not sure how I can give these, should i just send the codes to Anvilfolk or what?

Currently, spend time with Marna and maybe think in depth about the marriage.

I'd also think about setting in motion the enlargement and improvement of much fo what we have. we want larger and more profitable workshops, mines, warehouses etc and better roads in the country (gravel roads would be better than crude mud tracks).

Also, maybe build a water wheel onto the furnace/blast furnace/smith to operate the bellows and other machinery. Medieval armour factories made plate armour cheap as chips and, especially in the late era of the medieval period, even commoner units and non-noble professional units were completely outfitted with plate encasing their arms, torsos, heads and necks (but not the legs except faulds and tuilles/tassets (thigh defense attached to the cuirass). apparently there was a belief that leg armour put you at a disadvantage).

Finally, i think we should make our main infantry force of spear-men (in mail shirts and brigandine armour with heater or kite shields) and polearmsmen such as Billmen with in mail+brigandine or partial plate armour. This would compliment our archer forces (maybe equip them with leather armour or light brigandine?) well. As for archer side arms, maces, mallets and 1 handed swords (all 3 of which were the side arms for English longbowmen) would do finely.

I'm with you for most of it. Sadly, IIRC, we are already training our infantry as skirmishers/shock-troops/vikings, as we don't have enough men to hold a proper spear-wall. Axes seem to be a favourite, currently.

I've personally never had any problem hunting or fishing, maybe because I have a character with high fishing, tracking and stealth, and a small frame. All it really takes to hunt is patience and some javelins. As long as you don't lose track of your prey, you'll eventually tire it out or wound it enough to run up and finish it.

In previous versions, you could basically randomly wander around and kill any encountered raindeers / elks / stags and live off their meat, now it seems nearly impossible.
You need to actively rely on traps to survive, it seems.
Better go make a new character. :[

Try making a seal-tribe character. They are way more stealthy than the kaumo. I myself managed to kill about 4 reindeer and one elk, one reindeer with nothing but a short spear and a javelin, another with only one arrow (totally not bragging :P).

Branches burn very, very quickly, try using firewood instead. Chop down a fully grown tree, chop it into blocks and then split the blocks into firewood, all done with the alt+m menu.

Slender trunks and even logs and whole tree trunks will burn for a while too, especially the latter, but firewood is far more efficient.
Right. Don't have an axe because i just started. Still want to know how to feed a fire.

Kill someone who has an axe and take his stuff! It works for me. :D

If you don't want to aid natural selection, you can make a stone axe (although it sucks), or you could use a knife to cut down slender trunks.

Edit: I just killed a reindeer with one shot, YAY! :D

Just downloaded this. I started as a seal-tribesman, found a lone adventurer and killed him for his shoes. I hope fur footwear is still as valuable as in the old versions.

I also managed to kill a reindeer with nothing more than a javelin and a light spear, breaking my record for the earliest and most lightly equipped hunt. Hunting sure is easier than 3.15.

And makes them excellent fighters!

No. No, no, no.

Somehow, I imagine that the Gaslamp devs want to include something other than an endless stream of Dwarf Fortress memes and references. Come up with some half-decent ideas.

Well, we've already got the half-decent ideas covered. So we might as well start churning out some insane ideas. :P

Here's some traits for yew'.

Tree-Hugging Elf: Loves plants, wears flowery clothes, dances around trees under moonlight, slightly deranged, not very smart, natural naturalist (heh), kill them on sight.

Capitalist Pig-Dog: Masterful supervisor, wears a suit and top hat, smokes cigars, guzzles cheap brandy, hates elves and nature, loves factories and smog filled streets.

Practically A Dwarf: Expert miner and worker, short, excellent beard, susceptible to strange moods, slightly mad, kills elves, loves socks and MAGMA, goes either stark raving mad or depressed when not drunk.

Citizen of the 12th bay: Good at pretty much everything (except naturalism, that stuff is for elves), loves dwarfs, mutilates elves and pours magma on their family, Extremely mad. :P

Have fun adding those traits :P

Let me tell you how it is :D :D
You eat rotten food, you throw your heart out and feel sick because of this (just nausea), nausea passes, and you are left with half filled hunger bar after your adventure ends.
So yeah, at the end you get just half nutrition but you will have it around for ever and its good to have.
Roleplay a hobo in ancient finland

No no. You don't get half nutrition. You get even more nutrition than with food that you don't puke, because there's a limit on how much you can eat.
Because puking increases hunger. It doesn't lower nutrition. So you can eat the same food over and over and become overfed or wossname :)
(ok, not the same food, but more and more spoiled food).

The hunger bar is an OBSTACLE that keeps you from eating more (and in many cases, from eating what you need to live).

Drink some milk, it's good for ye' health.

One of my veterans lost her eye while LIBERALLY defending my leader in a CCS siege. My leader proceeded to get shot in the arm, but they both survived to kick ass another day.

Edit: Well, now my VALIANT LEADER lost her left eye while in a car chase, but being the ELITE LIBERAL COMMANDO that she is, she maintained control of the vehicle, smashed through three fruit stands, and left her pursuers in the dust.

They just released a new blog post about the soundtrack and dynamic music, including a demo of it in action.
http://www.gaslampgames.com/2012/12/20/dynamic-music/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+GaslampGames+%28Gaslamp+Games+Blog%29

Also, quick question: Will we be able to get the soundtrack of the game when it's released?
