Judging by the OP, it's only tangentially related to... anything, really. That guy is good at being incoherent.

Yeah, OP is hard to understand. Usualy, don't bad sports get weeded out around here?

Weren't MLP threads effectively banned here as of a while ago? I'm a little confused about that. Granted, this is better than the others were, if not in terms of the content of the original post.

Yeah, but the modding forum is fair game. Presumably, this is still around due to having the word Dwarves in the title and having loose ties with the game.

Also...

It might have to due with all the ironic Grimdark stuff the fandom cracks out like baches of cupcakes. Also, the mod proper is a great beginners guide to caste making, along with (soon) having a fair slew of uniqe creatures.

Oh, and ponies in general infect everything they touch like a candy-coated Zerg, exept some welcome it with open arms.
I haven't even watched the show and even I know that was a poor choice of words.

Nah, its entirly intentinal.

Take a standered Hydra.

Create a body with 1000HEADNECKS.

NOPAIN, ect. Added on.

Make its blood "fake", (liquid tissues, ect), and make it uber-hot.

Syndromes are a must, Necrosis is prefered.

FIREIMMUNE and FIREBREATH.

Huzza! Meet the most deadly thing I could come up with (I call it The End). Even better, go one step further and make the whole thing have a single vital organ in the body made out of candy.

A dwarf who wishes to become a actual honered member of the fort must prove himself by dipping his beard in molten iron.

I say that we take our iron knives and whips and melt them down to make better armor. After all, what good would they be against there armor?

I honestly think it's got something to do with the insanity / carnage / lack of morality that DF fosters for virtual dwarves / ponies.  I know I love abusing ponies just as much as I love loving them.

That sorta didn't come out right...

DF Modding / Re: My Little Fortress: Heart of the Swarm: 1.4 Test Release!
« on: February 06, 2012, 03:22:57 pm »
Unity fares well in arena. I soon learned that they are not fireproof, and as such the single dragon it it killed everything. Hellhounds are epic. My god. They one-shot Ursas.

The new Unity is godly. Your average unarmed Purple can take down swarms of foes (aka unarmed buffalo) far larger than themselves. During the megabeast testing, a Twilight one can only fight off a Trojen. Rocs are about evenly mached with a standered one, with Hydras being surprisingly boss, eating them up like candy. (fitting, considering that in-story they could only pressure them to flee.) Dragons kill them with a firey puff no matter the actual caste(small size- fat= dead alicorn), while they are rather even vs a giant star-bear. They kill any Royal creature they come across, due to there inherent state bonuses. Which means that a Azure one can take down three Royal Buffalo in a few seconds. It is wonderful.

The dogs are interesting. Hellhounds are durable (chiten was a surprise  :o)but do not seem to have the steel-mauling claws of lore. Also, disapointing swarms of them vs Alicorns show that they cannot even hit them. Something must be done. Something.... primal.

Also, something amusing: Apperantly, Reggi was more optimised than what one would think.  Steel Claws are deadly in combat, and much fun is to be had slaying ponies in midflight with what seems to be the next whips of the wasteland. Best use of the knife skill ever.

Oh, didn't realize that much had already been released about the way interactions were structured.  I am happy.  :)

I am also plotting ways for unicorns to mess with their enemies now.  It's going to be tough to balance out things if all unicorns have any sort of baneful magic.  Certainly nothing like turning enemies against their friends, but anything worth using in combat is going to make unicorns vastly more useful.  How do you compensate for that?

The eternal question in MLP, of course.  Unicorns are just better. :(

Giving two-horned zebras the ability to cast two things at one time?

I fear that were beast / necromancy interactions will be hard coded.
I'm pretty sure that at this stage of the development, he knows better than that :P

There've been a few peeks at the new raws over in the FotF, you might want to take a look.

My god, he better. :P I want my werebronies, darn it!

@Telgin

Presumably, they would be powerful wandering creatures with the same three-caste setup as the other races, but would be too chaotic to actualy form civs. Perhapes the "common" version can be taken into other civs al la the relationship bettween trolls and goblins? Even if there not actualy armed and armored, the fact that they would have potent syndromes of varying potency and probably have high-ish base skills would make them a different chalange than your average sieger. A genuine "royal" one would probably have all the stuff the lesser versions have plus the uber sheild wich might have its own effects.
