Think of the Slime as Orks, and Mankind as it's many splintered chapters of Space Marines.I was watching a video when you posted this.Being distracted and gathered made them an easy target (nuclear launch detected).It is safe to assume, that these creatures could very well pose a threat to Mankind if they're ever to become organized.We managed to slay ~95% of their projected numbers, and have been working to keep lowering their numbers from then on.So not only does a faction refer to itself as Mankind, but they're also large and powerful enough to destroy 95% of a galactic threat after they were distracted.

Hey, Kumo's just got soft flesh. Nothing on the taste, I think the Bird Tengu would be best in that department.Then it's yer own damn fault, isn't it? You're the one who made the character, after all...I was using that as a joke, really. He just has a much faster metabolism than a normal person. Of course, with your permission, he isn't above eating people if they piss him off enough and/or he's hungry enough.What if they're of a race who's flesh is super duper yummy?
