Actually you can't even buy packs of cards with the micro transactions in scrolls, the only thing that you can use the paid currency for is the starter decks and 6 cards they pick every week. You also get gold really quickly so there is really no reason to buy the currency

The reason there is no backwards compatibility is because it would increase the price of the console without any real increase in sales, why on earth would I buy a ps4 to play ps2 games when I can just buy a ps2 for £20 on amazon. They don't even get money from the ps2 games anymore because there are only used copies now.
And actually Sony showed off a lot of indie games at their conference and as they can self publish on the PS4 there should be quite a few more to come as well.

« on: June 05, 2013, 01:29:21 pm »So I find it kind of odd that The World Ends With You has a mechanic that actually rewards you for turning the game off and not playing it for up to a week. I don't know exactly how much PP they give you per day/hour/whatever, but I don't know why you would encourage people not to play your game. Unless it was crap, of course.
If I would have to take a guess I would assume it is an attempt to stop people selling the game back to the stores, if people don't want to resell their copy this means there are less used copies in existence so if they want to try the game they would have to buy it new.
