Well, that's kind of missing the point of the Foreign Legion, isn't it? The whole idea is that neither party has much loyalty to the other, FFL is essentially a bunch of expressly expendable foreigners for the French government to deploy as a military force.
Also the most likely enemy the German gov has to fight are nazi Germans, who would gravitate towards army posts
Having an army that sympathizes with nazis could very quickly turn into a professional nazi army, thus having a diverse one actually has less conflicts of loyalty, presuming they vet for cheeki jihadis

Basing it on the FFL where service = citizenship would be a great way to socially integrate Germany and newGermans in addition to providing manpower for such a FFL, as Germany has now an overabundance of young foreign men with nothing much to do
This would also allow Germany to take a more active and not retarded foreign policy on the world stage

10/10 would recommend again

P.s. if you want expendable foreigners just do a Saudi Arabia and hire loads of mercenaries
I think you're onto something there, Germany starts this foreign legion, recruits it's 20 million Syrian refugees who join for citizenship, then they can send the 'army' over to the Middle East to recover their homeland.
Doesn't particularly matter if they win, if not we'll you don't need refugee camps anymore.
A middle eastern bay of pigs invasion?
absolutely haram

I want a council that meets in the shadows, knowing each other only by a biblical codename, their face hidden behind cryptic holographic glyphs , meeting in secret they plan the affairs of states they were never elected in, playing the great game with human pawns and money as a mere plaything.
Do you want to get aliens? Because that's how you get aliens.

What I want is a mod that really extends the early game without extending the mid and late game. I like running around fighting advent and sectoids with ballistic weapons. It'd be cool if the whole Avatar project thing didn't kick in until after...say, 6 months or so. Ramp up the research times and alien progression rates and it'd be pretty cool.

Broken on lower difficulties, of course, since you'd have a full squad of high ranked troops in no time, but I mostly play on Commander so that wouldn't be an issue.
My personal ersatz-solution is Workshop upgradable conventional weapons and Progressive Armor Options. Fuck you, progression, I'm gonna be shooting Andromedons with AK47s while dressed in kevlar. There's also a mod that slows research and aliums, but since it doesn't seem to extend Avatar progression while it does build times, I've been having trouble keeping a lid on it in the game I used the mod.

May I tempt you with some delicious devils-food cake?
I'll take some Baal bread, that stuff's great.
The smoke from the burning children guarantees only the best of flavors!

Final exam passed with a B, in spite of me really not studying for it and it including questions from literally every single mandatory class.

Onwards, to become... THE MASTER OF SCIENCE!

How does next Saturday at 6pm sound? I can't do Sunday, unfortunately.
Sounds OK for me.

Arbitrary time divisions. People write the SCPs and assign them a SCP number from the pool of a thousand until all are used up before the higher numbers are made available, and the block is a series. Presumably so they aren't scattered all around with a ton of placeholder [ACCESS DENIED] ones to filter out when browsing.

Since it takes a while to fill out, people associate the series with specific time periods in the community and by extension, trends, styles and whatnot that grew out of it at the time. So Series I is the oldest, III the youngest ATM.

It's not a completely rigid rule, since some old ones get deleted and replaced or rewritten, and 001 was specifically reserved for a long time.

IT'S ALMOST HAHVESTING SEASON

You call that "starting to look better"?

IS got a foothold there in the first place because we left them to rot in a power vacuum after 'supporting' them to get rid of Kadhaffi.
Well, by that measure, unless Time Rangers are deployed, it's not gonna get better ever, isn't it?

Poland stands with the UK, wants them back in EU. Poland very strongly opposes EU federalism but benefits greatly from the economic cooperation it fosters, so with the UK gone they've pretty much got to choose between being sucked into the "ever closer union" against their wishes and losing easy access to the European market the Polish economy depends on.

Being Poland truly is suffering.
That's not 'Poland', that's an ex-PM.

Granted, his party is the ruling party right now (and so people suspect that the President and PM are just figureheads, to the point where there were jokes along the lines of: [XMP]: 'I asked [Presidentguy] to hold my cat for a minute. He signed it!'). But still, its officially unofficial at the moment.

So there is a new dev blog up, and while most of it is just talking about the siege gameplay they showed at E3 they had one very interesting thing to say.
Quote from: Taleworlds
During the assault, some of the soldiers seen are equipped with weapons and armour, not in-keeping with those of their faction. While it is possible, via a number of routes, for troops of any culture to end up in the services of another, what you actually saw here were the companions of the player and the defending lord. In Bannerlord, Lords now have their own companions, much like the player, augmenting their own abilities by employing the services of others. And naturally, these may include individuals from distant lands...

Now it seems lords can recruit special followers that act kinda like the companions for the player in the older games. I'm hoping this also means there are wandering adventurer types that are like player-NPCs, recruiting followers and doing their own thing as a player would.
Between the possibility of this and the recruitment requiring income that lords may try to get via setting up crime or raising taxes, it reminds me a lot of the Custom Settlements mod for M&B 1, which had both and felt amazingly organic, even with how unfinished it was.
