I can do Saturday, but due to things it'll be an hour later at 7pm. That okay with you lads?
Fine by me.

I discovered the glory that is GoldVision's GTA Pacifist LP.

Largely what it sounds like - the guy narrates the struggles of Francisco, an upstanding citizen, as he tries to get through life in GTA V MP without harming anyone, and making deadpan observations and philosophical musings in a very sedate voice.

So are we doing a session on Saturday or Sunday? Saturday is clear for me and Sunday I can start at 7 pm your time.
Can't do Sunday (Ultimate Examinationing at 9 am Monday) but I'm free on Saturday too.

So I am watching a let'splay of "Chase the Express" a Resident evil clone that takes place on this train
Holy shit, that's what this was called (well, this and Covert Ops: Nuclear Dawn). I played this game once on my friend's Playstation in like 2002. I didn't remember the name, and I started thinking I made the whole game up.

Clearly they're cyberglasses.  Like astronaut facedomes, they adjust to the light level.  Wearing future-sunglasses at night probably *helps* your low-light vision :P
Your vision is augmented, one might even say.

Ah, yes, sarcasm directed at someone's country. That...is always a wise thing to do :P
Country? I'm just slightly taking the piss out of your grammatical patriotism :P. And also hey - I learned this the last time, so next stop, pigs flying, frogs raining and assorted apocalyptica.

I was under the impression the US basically had no regulation regarding pet owning, what with the stories of people owning chimpanzees and such.
I didn't reread the whole exchange when I wrote this, so I was writing in response to Dwarfy, who is NorthERN Irish.

Crows are generally friendlier and smarter than ravens. If you want a bird of evil, get a crow. Crows can also imitate human speech like parrots.
Most Corvidae can. I don't remember about crows, ravens have a voice that is very different from a parrot's imitation of human speech since it kinda sounds like a really deep human voice, not something obviously birb-y.

Also, I believe that there's some legal issues to solve with keeping a pet raven/crow.

@LW if you're so confident that Brexit is 'what the people want'...

Wouldn't supporting a second referendum be the more consistent belief here? If they truly do want it, all the result will prove is 'yep, Brexit o'clock'.

It sounds more like you believe it won't pan out the same way. But hey, vox populi, vox dei, isn't it?

It's a rhetorical device used for making a point.

I was going to post the exact same post, but then I realised maniac probably meant that the reason is that they named it Boaty McBoatface.

Which is awesome.
They didn't, in the end, AFAIK. The ship got named after Attenborough, but they named a smaller vessel onnit Boaty McBoatface.

To be frank, I'd rather just be sitting in a hammock eating hummus
Oh god I read that as 'sitting in a hammock eating humans' at first. Brain why.

Hold a referendum on whether or not a second referendum should be held.

Absolutely nothing can go wrong
Too controversial. Need some way to establish whether people would agree to such a referendum. Hm...

I can't be the only one who now wants that one in the lower left to be the new flag for gay awareness can I? :P
I was mostly thinking that someone must have had fun designing the basic glyph...
And presumably a lot of research materials...
