Other Games / Re: Vampire: The Masquerade - figuring out times
« on: March 27, 2013, 03:49:38 pm »
I'll compile people's available time slots and try to find the best one. To make my job a bit easier, I'll only do it for people who actually post up a character in here beforehand, so I know who is and isn't already on board. If you've got friends on another forum, just paste all their info in here.

If you need any help making a character, let me know and I can work with you.

Do I have carte blanche to choose a location for the City? I might do a real place so we can mark out locations using Googlemaps, but I know most of you guys are probably more familiar with different cities than I am. If it was solely my own decision, it would be Toronto.

Also a thing is editions: I have 2nd, you have anniversary, I don't know what everyone else has, and I don't know the differences. If you want anniversary, I can find it, though.

I have a very old copy of 2nd ed. as well, but Anniversary is an improvement, imo. I can retrograde if that is what most players have.

We're time limited on Mondays, because I like sleeping and I have another thing that evening (my time). I also like sleeping, which makes Thursdays tenarious. What exactly is the time difference between us? 3 hours?

In the meantime, it might be a good idea to roll up some characters and paste them in here. We can get started on a provisional basis in the forum until it is time to transfer elsewhere.

When do you guys want to do it? I'm on the Eastern Standard Time Zone, and work 8-4 on Sunday, Wednesday, and Saturday. I also work the overnight shift on Thursdays.

I, too, am biased towards the servers on which I play.

For vanilla, we used to have one that PTTG? hosted, but since it's been down I just play with my girlfriend.

It depends on whether you want to run a game with a coterie (party) of ten, have ten people cohabit the same world, or run with two five-person coteries in the same world. Or just two distinctly different games. If the Kindred in game aren't too tightly knit, we can easily roll with one GM. I've done similar with mortal WoD. Two works best if both GMs are constantly on the same page.

I'd suggest not having a ten person coterie regardless of GM-ratio, though, since that smashes up the theme.

What I'm talking about is somewhat specific to Vampire in general - if you know the system and setting, you'll know what I'm talking about. If you're familiar with other ones instead, you might be confused.

I could always GM. Not sure why you'd want two of them, though?

158
Sure. I've been playing V:tM and V:tR for ages. Though I have more experience with V: tR now. I have the anniversary edition.

I can't really see this game as torturing Lara Croft. She's so infinitely more badass about it than any of us players could ever be. I'm about 1/4 - 1/3 through the game, and I'm jumping all over the place but still have not come across the scene where I perform first aid on my gaping abdomen wound.

I was going to make a comment about how even the poorest provinces in Canada have higher minimum wage than what Obama is proposing the US rises to, but then I looked at the posts and didn't know what you were talking about.

All this talk of exclusivity and making sure we keep undesirables out of our Bay12 SS13 games is reminding me of something...

Oh, yeah, the circlejerk that isolated Baystation 12 from this website and got the thread locked two times! :D

I think you're overestimating the ability of a human being to rip out their own teeth and plant it for forensic analysts. The chances of that working are so slim that it's better to just shoot yourself.

I walked in ten minutes beforehand and considered leaving the post reply window open and setting an alarm while I played Everquest. I decided I didn't want it that badly.

Doesn't seem like a big deal. Canada has been using its Hercules military transport craft to take aerial photographs of marijuana farms in Nova Scotia for a very long time.
