But if you want to be a writer, you better know your language well.

Vector, you can't simultaneously believe that girls 'date up' and that our culture doesn't have alpha males at the same time. They contradict each other.

We do have alpha males in our society, though. Go find your favorite group of people. You can pick out the leader in their group. Even if the people in that group claim "Whaaaaa-aat? We have no leader!", there is one person they always instinctively turn to who holds all the power.

Similarly, think about how often people mess with you. And for what reasons. When you're comparatively less important to a social structure, nobody bothers interfering with anything you do, unless what you're doing is contrary to what they are doing. If you are near the top of that structure, you will suddenly find yourself faced with competitors.

Alpha male syndrome all around.

My current OOO run is level 4 and is swimming with more septims than he knows what to do with. In one case, I was stumped by an enemy boss (Goblin Jim) not because he was tough and I needed my wits to survive, but because he kept healing himself. And he had more magicka regen than I had attack power. Even with witsplinter, a knife I looted off the women's gang in Anvil which does damage to it directly. To kill him, I had to run around a high cliff and hope he tripped and fell. It was actually really boring.

On the other hand, the AI remained stupid, so I was able to lure a Sylvan Ranger (who, actually, I hadn't meant to find - he just started chasing me mindlessly across the entire world) to just outside Kvatch, where I ran in circles while shopkeepers pummelled him to death with fists (the Imperial Guards were there, too, but I think they must have hit eachother by accident or something, because they fought instead - which still worked out fine for me). His loot - a healthy collection of Elven Arrows which I immediately sold to one of my saviours for all of her money, and a pile of heavy armour. Unfortunately, I'm using a light armour-wearer, so I had to sell it all. In fact, there was more loot than I could carry. I left a lot of it on the road.

I do like OOO, don't get me wrong. It's entertaining being locked in battle with highwaymen for several minutes, with nothing but my block skill and a pile of "Restore Health" potions between me and death. But there was so much focus on the "Haha, let's make bosses super tough so people have to come back later, haha!" that many of them are of equal difficulty to their vanilla incarnations, except for the boss at the end, who is of variable strength regardless of his location in the world, forcing you to walk back through the empty dungeon virtually empty-handed for your efforts. After you savescum during the trial and error phase. The exceptions to this seem to be Amazons and Sylvan Rangers. Who hang out outside their dungeon and chase you over the worldmap for all eternity.

There also exist women who, like me, take showers and then put their clothes on while they're still wet because they can't be assed to spend the time and energy on a towel.

I have basically the same standards for men as I do for myself.  If you've got reasonably clean clothes on, shower most mornings, and don't have, say, food stuck in your beard or something similar, we'll get along fine hygiene-wise.  I don't give a damn about greasy hair or most other things in that line.

Of course, my standards for brains are pretty far out there, so it makes sense to lower some of the other stuff to compensate.

Also, I frankly just don't care that much.  I don't like dating guys who are prettier than me ::)
I know clean smart guys exist, Vector. Heh, I suppose as a rule they should all be taken, though.

I like to think I'm a clean, smart, attractive guy.

Not to rain on any parades, but it's been really awkward since I gave Hamachi that goodbye kiss and my new lover isn't actually kicking its ass yet.

-making a bed-

That seems like a long time, but that's a legitimate motherfucking bed. Seriously. You're in the woods with nothing but an axe. Suddenly, you have a bed. In just two days. If it was me out there, I would settle for a lean-to and a bed of bug infested leaves. Not a Wurm Player, though. He's lost in the woods, so he builds himself an empire.

I reflexively scorn everybody I meet, and it has done wonders for my sex life!

You went through OOO, then, did you, Leatra? Was it really fun when the enemy who was tougher than you was at the end of the dungeon? Did you ever actually go back to any of those 95% complete dungeons to beat that last boss and get some sparse loot?

Gundam happening in real life would be a very bad thing.

Play Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul and attempt the first dungeon. The mod creator felt we needed to be 'taught a lesson' in going backwards through an empty dungeon rather than fight a boss.

SWAT 2. Actually complete the objectives as a terrorist instead of running away.

Note that it's only actually hard because of how broken the game is.

All news outlets have comment sections filled with idiots. Who else would turn to the comment section of news websites to voice their opinion on a regular basis?

Found an article about the percentage of terrorist attacks in Europe relating to Islam (not necessarily a continuation of our discourse with Lysabild, which, really, has nothing left to add).

In which part of the US do they say these terms?
