The example setting could easily go Shadowrun without causing problems.

Cannalan Embassy ‘The Brewery’
This converted warehouse on the docks has been turned into a brewery for the purpose of fermenting the distilled spirit Arachaca from sugarcane. Arachaca is the most popular booze in Aratam, where the locals frequently combine it with various chemical additives. The brewery makes use of modern pumping systems and metalized piping to make efficient use of space, allowing the creation of much more Arachaca than would normally be possible in the available space as the various machines involved take up much less space and therefore more can be fit in. Furthermore, the staffing requirements are relatively modest as much of the work has been automated or is directed by a centralized control console.

The embassy living quarters are built up on top of the brewery. Transparent flooring sections allow staff and visitors alike to enjoy the process of booze being created beneath their feet. The bar on the premises naturally has an Arachaca tap that connects directly to the brewery below.

Gold is tempting for electronics. Gyroscopes would be easier to manage with computers.

This looks interesting, the idea I have might take awhile to work out.

The list of designs that would be nice to work on no doubt will get longer and longer. This idea mitigates part of the ice weapon problem and also is intended to assist with a move towards a more widely available CryoStat. I'd really like to get the CryoStat down to a size where we could haul it around in a vehicle.

Regeneration Serum ‘Iceflame’
Designed to enhance and streamline the CryoStat process, this serum is inactive under normal circumstances. When exposed to extreme cold, chemicals in the serum flash freeze into a solid that is extremely reactive with other chemicals in the mix setting off a chain reaction that rebuilds and re-energizes cells at a prodigious rate. The heat given off in the course of the reaction serves to stabilize the temperature of the subject. With Mereth’s deployment of ice-based weapons, an opportunity presents itself to use this serum in the field.

The Osprey is the boring but practical option, even if it might have a weight problem. We are going to need to spend a number of turns advancing our variety of poorly performing ideas into something more effective and useful. We might as well start with a better gun.

Body Reinforcement Infusion Surgery ‘Abyss’
An advanced surgery only made possible by use of the CryoStat tank, removes, Metalises and reinserts every bone in the patient’s body. We have selected Titanium for use as an ideal metal for fusion. Extracting the skull requires us to cut it open and install a series of hooks and a screw and plate system for secure refastening after Metalization. Post-Metalization electrolysis can be used to further seal the injury if we anticipate no further need for brain access. This does increase the effective weight of the subject’s bones by roughly 1.3 times. In order to reduce the potential for reductions in mobility, we make use of adenosine triphosphate infusion to help stimulate growth of additional muscle mass. The resulting soldier is stronger and much more resilient to injury.

Ornithopter ‘Dragonfly’
With the aid of Metal Recombinators, we can produce a functional electrically powered wing that can operate reliably under the varied pressures and stresses caused by flight. The advantage of an ornithopter is low energy usage to maintain steady flight, allowing the Dragonfly to remain aloft for a day of constant flight without needing to refuel. Combined with maneuverability comparable to a helicopter including the capability to hover via wing control, this allows for a number of potential uses.
The Dragonfly is an unarmed double crewed aircraft designed for airlifting of vehicles over long distances. It does this via a lifting harness that uses Metalised rope. The power system uses a SynthOil battery to generate the electricity needed to activate the wings. The wings themselves use pistons to generate the flapping motion, with the much of the wing motion achieved using the structural design of the wings themselves. The wings are mounted above and behind the cockpit which combined with the elongated tail creates the dragonfly shape.

Not a great round. We really need to improve upon our super soldier program, but just in case we want to veer wildly in another direction.

Mobile Harvester
This eight-wheeled upsized transport truck comes equipped with a SynthOil battery and electric engine. It is also lightly armoured for safe use near the battlefield. Drills, mining equipment, and other useful extraction equipment are carried as standard, along with appropriate connections to power them using the harvester’s battery. A double hatch on the belly of the harvester can be opened to allow safe access to the area to be harvested and a winch lowered as necessary for the purpose of accessing holes dug straight down. It contains enough space to store at least a TC of material in a hopper for simple transfer to a truck.

313
Dive Bomber ‘Amazon’
A parrot with the Can Perforators stripped out. The Amazon replaces them with a pylon on each wing for the carrying of a variety of potential payloads. The intended primary payload are a pair of 250lb bombs, although with the aid of SynthOil a heavier bomb can be considered.

Two ideas with a similar theme.

Metal Spice
We tried applying the metal fusion process to Spice. The result is a liquid metal with the same properties as Spice. As the body is less able to break down or remove the Metal Spice, those who are infused with it are essentially affected by it on a more permanent basis. This should dramatically reduce the amount of Spice we need to produce to keep our Spice addicts happy.

Metal Minds
By bonding Metal Recombinators to Spice via a chemical that acts as a temporary glue, we can direct the metal fusion process inside the body to locations we would most like to effect. We can induce metal fusion within the brain using a sufficiently selective process as to allow survival of the test subject.
