I was in my base, minding my own business, gathering minerals at a steady pace. I had a Barracks, 5 marines and was on my way to building a few Bunkers. Suddenly BAM, 10 siege tanks with the "siege mode" upgrade, right in the middle of my base. I was out of the match less than 15 minutes after I had connected.

I could've prayed to Mars to save myself. It had already worked once before when Org got food poisoning from eating a dead jackal.

...except that my previous attempt at memorializing my loyal little dog, who was dead at the time, by offering him up on a chaotic shrine somehow pissed Mars off.

I managed to chug some uncursed potions and tried eating whatever else I had to try and vomit the poisoning out, but it seems I died before I could finish my second jackal. At least Org died well fed and drunk on chemicals. Ah, well, Yet Another Stupid Death.

Ah, fun times when first learning that you could aim spells diagonally. Nothing is spookier than aiming a spell in to the middle of a fray and accidentally bouncing it in to something just beyond your vision. Then you see the message "You hear thunder rumble in the distance..."

Not quite rage, but I do have to shake my head at the stupidity of it all.

My mate has been bugging me to watch Avatar for the past week. Now, since I sure as hell wasn't going to buy the DVD myself, I waited until he bought it and agreed to watch it with him. And, IMHO, it is the lamest science-fiction film I've seen, discounting some really bad Netflix titles. It's just Dances with Wolves, but kind of crappy and IN SPAAAACE!!!

Star Wars: Republic Commando II. One of the only times you did something really cool with the prequel era, and no sequel? For shame, LucasArts, for shame.

That's what I meant, I said "their" room. The lack of anti-cheating measures definitely is a problem. It's a damn shame too, because it's really fun if you get a good room. And like I mentioned, it'll run on whatever computer you put it on because it just does not give a damn.

I don't know if it still exists since I haven't needed it in a long time, but you could try installing the OptiFine plugin. Huge tune-up to the game, makes it run visibly faster and offers a few graphics options that aren't available in vanilla.
