If you really be honest about the whole thing, it's the lack of monetary interest in the fact that there's little work in the giant robotics field. The best we have, and its really good too, is the Battle bot series.

They had another kickstarter that failed but the video is nice.

I understand that but it felt like he just said giant mecha is a purely Japanese thing not something that others should be trying to make. I might be wrong be when I saw the response it was kinda arrogant. Granted, in certain light; the American challenge video could be seen that way but in the end to the world NO MATTER WHAT Americans will always look arrogant.

Another example of a giant robot America built, I really would like to see the Japanese guys face after seeing that since he claimed giant robots are a Japanese thing...

Uh... *cough cough* about that second one...

He was on the both Macross and Fasa Battletech lines you know that right?

A new challenger appears? :P
Of course Japan has MULTIPLE companies developing giant robots. Man, I ought to move to Japan some time. America just doesn't seem to have the same drive to build giant robots.

Lovin' the name for that mech.

America already has the drive, just not the technology to make them come into fruition.
AND NOTHING GETS MOAR MURICA THAN THIS!!!!

He had linked up time with certain periods of events entangled together to make a horrifically awesome levels of a massive world shaking and ending kind of campaign. At the moment there was a huge incarnation event that is the signal of something big is in motion much like the last two that had happened during the whole gaming campaign and I was a fool for not really paying attention, also not having the confidence in my logic to say anything ( if any of you noticed, my confidence levels in myself is practically as existent). In all and it is a fun game.

My advice would be to be ready to wing it.  Even the best prepared scenario can fall apart at short notice, so you have to be able to move the story along despite it.  Don't be afraid to say no to something (character design, unworkable plan, excessive cheese), you are the final arbiter of your game, it works according to your needs (and those of the players but you are the one who decides where the cutoff is.)  If you have to cheat, cheat in favor of the group, not against them.  Also, your setting sounds like a lot of fun, I hope you and your players enjoy yourselves.

Pretty much what he said. Dont say yes to the group all the time. It will lead to overwhelming situations you probably didnt want in the first place or it was too soon. I only have very little experience in GMing and it can be rough but it is rewarding if you do run with it (and yes you have to be able to run with the oddities).

Battlebots 2015 Youtube Channel. Missed an episode? Episodes air at a time you just can't watch due to whacky timezones? You can watch them here, without constant tv commercial breaks and in decent quality footage.

Thinking of making a Battlebots thread, just so there's a better place to talk about it besides the happy thread. But then again the happy thread is basically a collection of topics anyway, so I dunno.

Warhead vs Stinger. Warhead, why would you drive straight into a wedgebot's wedge as soon as the round starts? That's like charging headfirst into a chainsaw, or throwing yourself at a wrestler's bear hug. "Here, I don't want to win, let me flip myself over for you so you can push me around." Feels like a lame battle.

Actually you should, I didnt hear about their return until I started looking on this thread again. When I first saw it I thought I went back in time when I first came across Battlebots as a kid. Heck, I even got the little playset then.
