That's pretty funny actually. I wonder if the water tastes weird.

I believe it was changed, due to the ' Red wound = permenantly useless dwarf ' thing from the last version. So now dwarves will attempt to do their jobs if they rest too long even if they are still badly wounded.

http://rapidshare.com/files/66876790/DFSave.zip.html

Piled it on Rapidcrap, All I could think of. The armor is no longer in the Trade depot because I destroyed it, however my dwarves still refuse to use it, despite being perfectly happy wearing the armor i've crafted for them myself.

Unsure if I still have the save, but I might.. Not sure how I would post it though. Don't know any file hosting sites.

No, It's outside and there isn't an ounce of water on my map.

Yup, Same problem here. Bad time for a hydra attack.. All my hastily conscripted miners and wood cutters died, as well as my swordsdwarves thanks to having no armor, leaving a single marksdwarf to land the killing blow.

Update to the update: It appears as if my dwarves have found the armor and are now pulling it out of the wall of a nearby house... How this is possible I do not know. Time will tell if my military dwarves will actually wear it now or not.

Edit: Military dwarves still refusing to wear the armor, the issue persists.

Update on this issue: Seems more serious than that, Upon removing the offending trade depot that was holding the items.. they DISAPPEARED. Yep. Gone. Not sure what happened to them, but after trading 20,000+ worth of goods for them i'm a bit peeved. Oddly, the steel bars that were left in the depot from the same caravan did not disappear and fell on to the ground properly.

Perhaps they were phantom items? I didn't notice this happening with weapons that I bought off of Caravans, in fact most of my wood cutters got their axes from caravans.

Also, They are not showing up in the stocks page so they really are gone.

DF Bug Reports / Armor brought by the caravan does not exist?
« on: November 01, 2007, 12:54:00 am »
As the subject suggests, I am unable to get my Military dwarves to equip armor or shields despite being set to. I've had a few full sets of steel chainmail/shields that I bought from the Dwarven Caravan several years ago go untouched by dwarves set to wear a shield and chain armor. Predictably, the survival rate for my recruits is about 30 days or less, since this is a waterless map so if they have to rest an injury they die of dehydration.

I've also noticed this. My Beautiful Hardwood flooring has been red for years. Bump for great justice.

Yeah, it has to actually be underground to be considered indoors for most purposes of the game. I'm hoping Toady will change it soon to make aboveground fortresses more feasible.

Np, Stay inside seems bugged of the new releases. Dwarves that are outside when the order is given will simply stand on that spot and not move until it's cancelled.

Did you order them all inside? If not, they were trying to react to goblins on the top floor of a building through fortifications, and couldn't so they simply stand there.

I've had a similar problem, but I imagine it has something to do with the fact that I decided I no longer liked my mayor, and sent him into the spike trap room along with my broker and had the hammerer pull the lever on repeat. Adil Zasitfesh, Mayor has been impaled on a spike. Hehe.

Only crossbows, I think. If you mod in a metal that's as common as steel with a higher value it will start out as that instead of steel. A good way to get extra points without using adjuststart if you make it super valuable.
