Kaito walked off just after the announcements, heading to his room for a long warm shower, then down to see what foods he could pick up today... it had been a while since he'd cooked a proper meal. He'd let the mission play over again in his head as he went, thinking on what had gone wrong, where they could have done better... and where it was just bad luck. Though even simple misfortune was good to analyze, as there were always ways to minimize the risks.

Kaito will move up with the group, putting a hand on Boiy's shoulder to help him move along into the cage. "You really need to be more conservative with how and when you use that. It looks like you're about to pass out."

"Rare as it is, I agree with Frazz, this is a silly plan. Why did you think it would work?" Kaito shakes his head. "And we already have people hanging back to cover the wider area Frazz, Dahn, you should go up to cover like Vigil said." He'd tilt his head, looking over the creatures again. "You know... they look muscular, but do you think they'd actually be able to do much to us through our armour?"

"Yeah, I'd prefer not kill them. Aside from the possible moral quandry, there's more to be gained scientifically from being able to study their activities while alive. It might be better to draw them out somehow... or camp a bit away and see if they leave again." Kaito said calmly. He'd look for the best MRE they had, stripping off the non edible parts to be sure they didn't eat anything bad, then would try to slip forward and toss it near the cave.

Kaito gave Frazz a harsh glare. "Another outburst like that, and I'll shoot out your legs and just let you be cargo until we get home. If you want to box, there's a ring at the base. We are on a mission in hostile territory, try to conduct yourself accordingly."

Kaito would move between the arguing pair, raising a hand at each of them to keep them back from each other, forcefully separating them if he had to. "Enough. Yelling and shouting at each other gets us nowhere. This is a simple question of risk. Risk the walk, or risk the transit. It would be impossible to leave anyone behind since the snowmobiles generator is what powers our survival kit. Now, since everyone can't seem to stop shouting long enough to make a decision, I'll just do it for you. Strap the supplies to the snowmobiles, one person on each to keep them moving, the rest of us are going to walk alongside. Understood?"

Do we try to draw out the trek back on foot, use the last snowmobiles as pack animals for lack of a better term?" He'd think a while. "Do we even have the supplies to make that trek? It'll be ten days, Honestly I'm not so worried about the conditions, just about food and water."

The recoil of the gauss kicked hard enough to cause Kaito to rise from cover, unfortunately just as a laser blast was heading his way. It gashed him across the arm, causing him to give a slight hiss of pain, before raising his PDW and firing off a quick burst at the moths.

Kaito realized they were under fire quickly, rushing forward and swinging his Gauss around to his hands as he slid into cover behind a large, solid boulder. Just in time, as laser fire scorched the other side of it. He'd rest the Gauss on the boulder, looking down the scope and seeing if he could follow the laser trails back to whoever was shooting. "Keep your heads down until we've seen our targets... and try not to take cover behind anything flammable."
