I have no idea what I should invest my 5 tokens in... How much is the next MK upgrade? How much is an MK3, and since I have a civvy long coat and a laser rifle, would it be dumb to hold out until I have enough for an MK3?

And all my thoughts go so far is projectile motion--a thrown arc would make it...rather hard, given the vague information I recall (lifted height = bad thing) about the Eater's Sarcophagus so...

I don't really see how it's your fault Tir. If anything you pushed the team to try for as long as it did. We pretty much failed as soon as the sun noticed the eater.
