It gives death, which is probably kindness compared to what it could do to you.
I see no problem.
This is dwarf fortress, killing them quickly is probably very kind

Because rocks are extremely prevalent
And if you don't have a good steel industry good metal should be used for items inside the fort

well just now I had been exploring the caverns as a unicorn adventurer. Being bored and having been abandoned by my companions in my sleep, I decided to find my way back to the surface.

About a half hour later I'm nearly there, when troglodites

no problem I thought, I've killed a couple groups of them.

FIFTY KILLS LATER

I kill what seemed to be the last of them and start walking when OUT OF NOWHERE

a giraffe...in the caverns...covered in the blood of a cave bear, an elk bird, and several trogs
first blow breaks my spine
second smashes my head like a pumpkin

the most annoying part was the fact that with a broken spine, I lost control of my horn(wtf?)

And children, some say the cave giraffe is still alive today, crushing troglodytes and any foolish beings willing to brave the subterranean grotto he calls his home.

Bite off fingers 1 by 1

Well, I do that to pretty much anything that's knocked out

Stab in lower body, or/and cut off arms. If they don't die by then I go for legs. Once they've fallen I kick the head in.

For all the times that your legendary swordsdwarf was stabbed in the head by a peasant, crushing the skull and tearing the brain.

Recently, I had a pretty good adventurer going and a crossbowman got a lucky shot off, hitting me in the knee, causing me no severe damage but apparently incredible amounts of pain. I was stunned and killed by his hammerman friend.

I just realized
I used to be an adventurer like you, but then I took an bolt to the knee

Oh god

Why would you want to port DF to a console?
Why would you want a console?
Why do you own a console?
Why do consoles exist?

Villages tend to have plenty of weapon-wielding opponents...

lowercase g's once invaded my house, they killed my pets, but I flooded my house in time to save myself. I forgot to put a drainage system so I  drown. Relates to the fort I had lost earlier that week.

I as well have had plenty of adventurers come to a bloody end via badgers of some sort.

Remind me of the time I recruited a peasant expecting him to die right away. Turns out he was much more efficient than my sword-wielding character. I got annoyed and attacked him one on one. Got stabbed in the head right away, turning my brain into soup.
