It'd be totally cool if someone made something akin to my dream :v

Upper wisdom tooth extraction Thursday o.O

My memory of tooth extraction 2 yrs ago goes like thus:

Needle prick, feeling uncomfortable because needle is inside my gums depositing anesthetic, being numb, dentist shaking tooth, wrird noises, tooth coming out, gauze.
an hour later, a lot of pain so much pain silver agony from bloody tooth socket and a totally bloody gauze....

Two days later, giggling at the rice grain that has settled inside the empty tooth socket :v

This reminds me of when I removed my only impacted wisdom teeth. I swear my destist was sweating bullets as if something was very wrong, and it probably was because he had to literally saw it in 4 parts and then remove each root individualy. It hurt a fair bit but according to him I did pretty good, and then he showed me the actual tooth pieces. They were ENOURMOUS. It was hard to believe something that large could've come from my mouth.

I'm rather ok with most perfume, altough I dont really have any preference for one smell or another. I rather like my girlfriend's perfume and natural smell, altough thats just because it reminds me of her. To me smells are always tied to a certain feeling or memory, so if one smell reminds me of something I find pleasing, then I'll like it.

I find most parfum and eau de parfum to be bleh, though, but I like most eau fraiche and eau de toilette I've come across.

I dont like how pretty much any deodorant smells, but most of them, as mentioned, require you to dig into your armpits with your nose to actualy feel them, so its not a problem. Then again deodorant isn't really perfume, sooooo :v

Judo is pretty great to deal with agressive feelings, since it involves a lot of discipline and is a inherently defensive martial art, unlike karate which is inherently offensive. Kendo or Kenjutsu is also pretty good in that regard, but it requires special equipment and its not very easy to find kenjutsu schools in most places.

T'ai chi ch'uan (or Tai Chi) is a pretty good martial art for calming yourself because it also involves medidation, while also being a mostly defensive martial art.

Maybe I misunderstood something, but 2 seems entirely redundant if 1 is a calendar select
Very true--I don't know if Google Forms has a calendar select, though, so that's just in case.

Also, there's no option on 19 for people who are employed?

Also rather than Sex/Gender probably stick with PenguinofHonor's Cis Male/Cis Female/Trans Male/Trans Female/Other list imo.
I fixed 19 and combined sex/gender as PoH suggested.

So, if there's no other question ideas or things to edit, I'll create the form! Potentially by this weekend.

MAJOR edit needed.

Learning disabilities (ex, ADHD or Down Syndrome) are not mental disorders (ex, bipolar or schizophrenia).  They are very fundamentally different, and question 22 needs to be split into 2 questions at the very least.

I thought Downs Syndrome was a genetic disorder :v

Whats weird is how nobody has actualy presented their own tests results that would refute its viability, considering the actual device is basically just a modified magnetron, something that can be found in ordinary microwave ovens. The measuring apparatus needed to detect the variations in the involved forces and phenomena is probably far more expensive then the actual emdrive device used in the tests. I mean, its not exactly something someone could do on their garage (at least not without a fair bit of money and knowledge), but any respectable physics and electronic research lab could do their own tests, maybe.

3475
Lemme try doing a TL;DR on the whole thing: NASA has been doing tests on a proposed form of propulsion that uses electro magnetism to generate momentum, which, if it works, could revolutionize space travel. Turns out some recent tests on this have yielded intriguing results that sugest that it actualy works. This has sparked much speculation on not only wether it actualy works or the test results were achieved due to a measuring error, but also the implications that this could have on the possibility of creating a working alcubierre drive, which is a theoretical form of travelling faster then the speed of light. The fact that its actualy a NASA agency doing said tests and that no one has been able to refute it yet has sparked a wave of optimistic anticipation and cautious skepticism around the whole thing.

Kinda quoting what I posted in the dream thread in the general discussion subforum.

Rarely do I ever dream about games, much less roguelikes, but tonight was a pleasant exception.

I dreamed that I was playing the beta for a really interesting roguelike or something, called "Blood War". It had ASCII graphics, and it was kiiiiiiinda similar to DF's adventure mode in gameplay, except not really, in that most things were randomly generated, similar combat, locational damage and the ASCII was also a bit similar, altough it was also similar to cataclysm: DDA in some ways, namely the UI and some menus.

The basic premise of the game was that you started as a lowly devil in one of the many hells, a hellish dimension that is very similar to Dante's depiction of hell and also D&D's nine hells of baator. Each hell is basically a huge world of its own divided into instances to avoid lag or something. You would start the game as a lowly devil of some kind, with few stats and almost nothing of a resource called "hell power", which consisted of points you could spend to develop your devil in several ways, such as gaining different spells and powers, growing in size and changing your body, like gaining different limbs, horns, spines, claws, etc, crafting artifacts of power for yourself, among several other things. Your main objective in the game was to rise in rank, power and influence among the devils in hell, eventualy becoming powerful enough to challenge one of the arch devils that rule each of the worlds in hell, and become a new archdevil, to eventualy become powerful enough attempt a coup and become the true and sole ruler of hell.

To do this you needed hell power to grow stronger and influence among the devils, which could be gained through several ways. At the start you were limited mostly to doing quests and menial tasks for devils above you in the hierarchy and being succesful in battles in the blood war, against the demons of the abyss, or doing things like attacking other devils and eating their hearts, altough this is apparently considered a horrible crime in hell and one of my characters got tore apart after being seen doing this.
Eventualy you'd gather enough hell power to manifest in the normal world, which was basically a huge randomly generated Forgotten Realms style D&D world. You'd at first manifest as a voice in a some naive mage's mind or some corrupted magical, and you'd have no control over anything but you were able to see a bit of your surroundings and slowly influence the minds of your host and the people around it. Through this, you'd eventualy gain disciples and followers to do things for you in the normal world that would gain you influence and hell power, and some of these things were pretty brutal. I remember ordering one of my followers to kidnap a baby and sacrifice it to me in exchange for some magical abilities, and having another burn a nearby temple that was interferring with my powers in the normal world. The combat could also be very gory, with each corporeal NPC having organs, blood, bones, etc.

The quests and worship of your followers in the normal world would net you a lot of hell power, eventualy allowing you to fully possess normal world people and even manifest phisically in the real world at the cost of a fair bit of hell power, allowing you to do many more things directly, this being apparently the fastest way to gain hell power. You could even end up having a cult dedicated to you, and the worship of your cultists would generate a constant stream of hell power to you.

Anyway, after rising enough ranks in hell, you'd gain more rights, such as the right to travel between hell worlds, keep yourself safe by gaining the right to build a house/mansion/fortress of your own in hell, being able to take more important tasks from more important devils, etc.

Unfortunely, the dream ended shortly after I gained enough power to work directly under an archdevil, right after my cult in the normal world got destroyed by militant clerics, which hurt my hell power income badly. It was really sad to awaken and find out that game doesn't really exist :C

Its a bit scary if you consider that trepanation is something humans have been doing for thousands of years, for a multitude of reasons and with varying success. There's even some documented and rather recent cases of self trepanation, done by some people believing that doing so would give them heightened sentience, which makes zero sense. At one point in the past century trepanation became the focus of several new age stuff and weird cults. There's even an obscure and rather dark themed manga about a guy that gets trepanned and then starts having super weird hallucinations, but I seem to have forgotten its name.

Manly men do things like chase balls
To quote Descartes, probably, "In the pursuit of balls, no sacrifice is too great."
"I fight, therefore I man"
Si vis virilem, para pila?

So apparently there are articles floating around saying that NASA did test the emdrive in vacuum and it apparently really does work :v

One of those articles is from nasaspaceflight, and contains a highly detailed (if really succint) explanation on how it does not break the law of conservation of momentum.
