There's traps everywhere, really.

This is what you do in a zombie apocalypse. You take a bunch of useful items, pile them up in the middle of a road, then set dozens of traps around it. The items will only attract other survivors which will likely get asploded by the traps, while the zombies remain safe due to their complete disinterest for anything that doesn't involve braaaaaanes.

Zombie safety comes first

By the way, I'm playing some games with a friend of mine using gandalf parker's dom3minions.com servers. We just started a CBM 1.6 game and we're looking for a third human player to play with me, him + 3 ai nations. Anyone willing just send me a PM. Since we're using a server (and not play by email) turns go by really fast and we can pretty much play simultaneously on the dom3 client, with the advantage of PBEM of being able to upload your turn whenever you want since we set the auto hosting frequency to every 2 days.

I'm searching for an old game that a friend of mine played 9~10 years ago when he was 12 on an old mac, before imacs were invented, where you built your castle, and if it got captured it would show a picture of a guillotine or an executioner or something. You could attack other people, and the map was divided in old european provinces, like saxony and argony and etc.
Castles II - Siege and Conquest? Still have the actual diskettes for that laying around somewhere, though it's doubtful they still work (and I don't have anything that could read them, anyway :P).

Its only a tech demo so we didn't get much to talk about, pretty glitchy (since its not even an alpha yet) but it seems pretty legit so far. Check the devblog and download the tech demo and see for yourself.

How the hell do you get people to teach you things? They just keep asking me to do stupid favors and then cease to exist.

I don't really have problems surviving though, I cheese up my stats by sacrificing perception altougheder and taking trigger happy, though.

Do action JRPGs count? You could try the YS series games for the PC and PS2. Anything after YS: Oath in Felgana is good, and probably before too, but I haven't played any of the older ones :P

Its really sweet to see a project like this get completely funded and supported by an awesome community like this. Hopefuly it'll live up to everyone's expectations :o , this project will probably take a fair bit of time to actualy get to 1.0, but it'll be grand when it happens. This is the next in line for my most expected roguelike mental list, the first being every new df release :P
