So Indaria's still in negotiations with the daemon, but there's a good chance she's going to end up playing its game. - It managed to find something that legit tempts her, which at first was a major roadblock.

how about the rest of us?

My eyes sweep over the area, assessing the number and locations of the eggs. I step forward, making sure my teammates are not in the line of fire between me and the targets, and then assuming a kneeling position, the weapon raised to my shoulder, my eyes aiming down the barrel. My ears fold down, shielding themselves from the noise to come, and my tail is extended behind me, steadying my balance. My forward arm has its elbow resting just beyond my knee, no bone-to-bone contact between the joints, but soldily resting, steadying my aim, and the flames that form the pupils of my eyes flare up as I have finally decided the way forward is violence. And finally, with the eggs as my targets, I open fire.

As I fire, I pay attention to the feedback I am getting, the understanding of the status of my weapon, its needs, and its ammo state. As ammo gets low, I'll be casting "Gengae" to reload.

And once I've seen it in action, it'll be time to give it the name it will have earned.

Deamon gambling will be done via PM/Discord because that sounds more fun. Feel free to reveal or hide whatever happens either IC or OOC at your own discretion.
My apologies if Indaria's state of mind is making this process complicated.

don't need to open them to the outside, can simply pump the air out and put it elsewhere in the ship.

Side note regarding the upcoming choices in the Warp:

if the angels are chosen Indaria will be hard-rejecting them. She knows that she is exactly what they want to purge. They are representatives of the exact thing she despises the most.

if the demons are chosen Indaria however might risk playing their game. She doesn't reject such beings out-of-hand, but she knows they're dangerous and to be avoided, so she'd evaluate her odds, but if she thinks the odds are good or if things get dire, she might take the risk.

As for what Lenglon thinks, Lenglon thinks the angels are more dangerous because they're going to invade the dreams of everyone, while the demons will only go after critical personnel. Also, since the infestation is likely being passively carried by most of the crew, the portion of the crew that would be incidentally targeted even if the angels are legit would still likely devastate us. In other words, we either choose a mutiny, or risk corruption in our critical staff.

Shift the infirmary to critical-care prioritization, but with emphasis that mutants are to be given priority for medical aid. we do NOT want a second battlefront to form, the medics need to keep our mutants, the most likely carriers of the infection, alive and healthy.

The medicae need to prepare to mass-distribute human-friendly anti-fungals to the armsmen holding the front. They're almost guaranteed to be infected and we need their thoughts to remain clear.

The armsmen themselves need to focus on holding the line at this point. We've evacuated everyone we can from the infested area, it's time to purge things, and they don't want to be in there right now.
Collect sealed samples of the mold and send them to the techy people to have them find effective anti-fungals for aerosol distribution.
Seal off the infested sections of the ship where possible, and vent them. Even if it doesn't kill all the mold, it'll almost certainly slow its growth, and kill off active undead in the section.
For the remaining infested areas, once we've found effective anti-fungals, gas them with them.
Those sections of the ship can be reclaimed after we've arrived at our destination.

Indaria has no sympathy to either of these complaints.

Although her Captain is quite devout, Indaria doesn't participate in traditional services, and doesn't consider herself welcome to them in the first place. Others being put in the situation she lives every day really does not bother her in the slightest, and as far as she's concerned that message never reached her. oops?

As for the, more reasonable but still unimpressive, complaint of the overworked medbay, that wouldn't be a problem in the first place if those minor medical needs had been addressed in a timely manner. If it really is as bad as they said, then the procedure could be changed to provide immediate relief, but there would need to be an inquiry into why the needs of the people they're supposed to care for have been overlooked up until now, aka: "So what you're saying you haven't been doing your job properly and it's coming back to bite you?" Alternately if it isn't actually that bad, then there's no need to change things now is there? She's fine letting them pick which option they prefer. Especially since she suspects that the real reason these people have so many minor needs that are only now being addressed is because they're mutants, like her, and their needs were being actively ignored. Other mutants getting proper medical care for once really doesn't bother her one bit.

However, finding out that it's a plague of undeath amoungst the voidsmen, things change. Fast. Armsmen are to be mobilized, and large cargo rooms cleared out with additional rooms adjacent to them also cleared. The armsmen are to be masked up, and the mission is to evacuate the voidsmen from the threatened and infected quarters area and move them to opened up cargo spaces. Once they've evacuated the voidsmen to the cargo rooms, the armsmen themselves will be quartered in the adjacent rooms, and are to assume that every single evacuated person as well as they themselves are infected, and supplies will need to be delivered to them, but since there's a chance their precautions will work they'll be kept separate from their charges. If the evacuated voidsmen attempt to contact the rest of the ship, the armsmen assigned to them must stop them. If anyone dies, they are to be cremated on the spot. Issue flamers, incendiary devices, and promethium, to every unit of armsmen for this purpose.

Also: get clarity on the report of the dead rising up. Was it only the voidsmen that become undead? Are the mutants unaffected?

Medical is getting an armsmen squad assigned to it 24/7, and anyone in critical care will have their treatment overseen by an armsman with the express purpose of making sure that if someone dies, they don't harm our medicae.

One of the nice things about having people compartmentalized like this, the hallways will be generally empty. It should be easy to get moving fast on this. and frankly, plague of undeath is a nice relief. For once, the disease IS something she can shoot. lets get to it! Full military, weapons hot, time to show what we can do.

Though, she is now much more willing to relax her earlier quarentine requirements. They remain in-place, but exceptions can be made as needed, and the request for people to bring even minor issues to the medicae, now that we have samples of what the disease is and does, can be removed.

Though she can't currently speak, Indaria can still give written orders, and has security personnel that can carry them out. The moment that she is notified of the problem she issues a disease hazard notice, with simple regular sanitation procedures being made mandatory and enforced, and notifies the medbay to prepare for demonic plague. Reporting of even minor disease symptoms is made mandatory, and all crew have their movements and interactions restricted and compartmentalized. Large gathering are forbidden, and personnel are even to remain near their stations for sleep in order to limit movement and socialization. Field Rations for the duration of the remaining warp journey are to be delivered immediately by servitor, and biological servitors, as identified by the crew's tech-priests as biological / disease capable since who else would be able to tell, are to have their movements restricted similar to the Crew. Crew performance is expected to dramatically suffer, but all of these heavy-handed restrictions are going to be lifted once we leave the Warp, and the notice that the restrictions will be lifted once out of the Warp is included with the orders. If the Captain permits it, then once we are clear of the warp and this threat we will shift to extremely light duty schedules for 4 days following the completion of our trip in the Warp, and the notification of this upcoming R&R compensation will, again, come with the notice of the current extreme restrictions on movement.

To give an example of the implementation of this, Strike Craft pilots are to remain in their quarters since there is no need for them to interact or perform normal duty functions while we're in the Warp. Their maintenance crews will be instead restricted to their work areas, and cots and temporary sleeping areas around workstations are both permitted and encouraged. However, different maintenance teams are to remain apart from each other at all times.

We might not know where the infection is, but we're going to compartmentalize the entire freaking ship so it has no chance to spread no matter where it started. We can take an efficiency hit to get this done.

My spell continues
Fourth, I need the weapon to be able to fire, to ignite the powder and propel the shot, for the mechanisms to make the necessary spark. Also, now's the time to infuse the essence I saved for this, to help keep the spell stable, strong, and controlled.
note to GM: this is the +1C /+1P essence
"[Taqquin]-"
Fifth, the weapon as a whole needs to be refined and turned into my fire spear, my firearm, my weapon
"Toktok-"
Sixth, when the weapon fires, it needs the shots to be powerfully propelled, burning with energy
"Taqquin-"
Seventh, and finally, my shots must be sharp. Both in terms of accuracy, and in terms of penetration power.
"Myne!"
And with my thoughts and will to guide the spell, I believe this will create the weapon I'll want to use against the Outsider threat here.
Upon completion of the cast, I'll take a few moments to survey the result, taking an in-depth look at how the different words were integrated into the end result, and how close the product matches my guiding thoughts and intentions.
Only once the inspection is complete, will I be taking my weapon with me, and heading into the spider's den.

Well, something which targets most vital components first is pretty much gonna switch off the gellar field, isn't it. Meanwhile we have lots of mooks who can get sick and die.
I'm inclined to agree

betrayal wasn't where fake-Indaria was headed, but okay.

anyway, so after taking a quick look at all the PCs, we have literally zero characters trained in tech-use, and only Indaria (who has Int 25), is trained in medicae.

so we're very likely to fail either test, but have a slightly better chance vs the medicae one.

might want to choose based on what consequences we can deal with easier.

Alright, time to try something.
I first take a moment to plan out my next spells carefullly
I don't have the ability to use enough words at once to do this all in one go, but I think there's two ways I can try to get around that. The first one is to make the base object first, then modify it. The second way is to try to craft the spell slowly, and see if I can delay it resolving while I build up power and words for it slowly. Luckilly, I think I can test both at once. I'll try to stretch this spell out, but if it has to resolve at the midway point that'll be fine.
Now then, first I need to image what I'm making. I think the way the words work is the power is shaped by the words sequentially, so I start with the most basic aspects and build it up as I construct the spell. In which case I think I know what word order to use.
Finally, the image. I'm making a firearm out of bronze, starting with the base shape of the weapon and then modifying it further until it is ready for purpose. So I need a long and narrow bronze cylinder, with mechanisms to manipulate the gunpowder and shot that will be housed within.

And now, lets do this. I'm going to try to cast this single multi-word spell slowly, giving myself time to regain energy so that I can make it take extra words by casting over multiple turns, but if it needs to resolve right away, then that's fine.
First, the base material of the weapon, bronze.
"Magi-"
Then that material needs to be shaped into the barrel of the weapon it will eventually become.
"Renne-"
Third, it needs to be prepared to handle and manipulate the gunpowder it will contain, and pre-loaded with a small charge
"Gengae-"
