have you ever looked at the description of a female dwarf? They have freaking beards.

 I hypothesize that dwarfs physiology has but one gender and that it's is individual preference whether they Identify as "male" or "Female" homosexuality is thus already covered in the game and is in fact the norm.

nope a garbage designation won't work for this....

no what you want to do is place a pond/pit Activity Zone over the hole so those dorfs know it's a pit and
not just a pothole. (i) from the main menu. then after it's set use (p) to make it a pit, and make sure active(a) is highlighted as well.
 
then go to orders and under Refuse option  (o)-(r) and tell them to auto-dump whatever is reanimating
or manually set the dump order on things you want chucked into THE PITS.

I  thought the Issue with killing vampires was Vampire ghosts who continue to drain your dorfs now unhindered by walls?
and without the ability to put them to rest as you do not know their "true" name.

has this feature been fixed in recent updates? if not I'd say your !FUN! has just begun.
