well if the neighborhood he bought a house in was part of a HOA, isn't there nothing you could have done to get him out of the HOA?
I always thought if a neighrborhood has a HOA, and you want to live in that neighborhood, you have to pay the HOA. are you saying there is a way around that ?

I'm not quite sure if this should go in the happy thread, but its something that I think would be pretty neat way to hide information (not to mention amusing in real life).
("Hey we found the soviet spys flash drive")
("Whats on it?")
("Just wait a second" *checks* "Uh, 50 gigs of uh... hermaphrodite dwarf porn.")
EDIT: I'm not quite sure why I would ever post this, but still, I did it anyways.
This is the sort of stuff that makes you happy? Hermaphrodite dorf pr0n?

AoD, i think you'd be best off getting a NEW COMPUTER.

MAX, GIMMEH YOUR BANDWIDTH. 150KBps with an advertised 20,000Kbps (2500KBps) is not fun. And that's when it's going quickly. :3
I'm currently going at about 300K on a 6Mb connection.

fun fact, when most internet companies advertise their internet speed in kbps, they are referring to kilobits per second, and not kilobytes.  it's a little marketing scheme to make people think they're getting a better deal than they are.

kind of like how companies that sell hard drives use the 1 kilobyte = 1000 bytes exchange, which isn't true, but thats how they sell their crap. making a 1 terrabyte hard drive NOT 1 terrabyte... ever..

fuggin marketing.

Most of the time your input in uploading will be neglible anyway unless you continously keep the torrent open, there are people with better upload than you or theres more seeders than nessesary.

Alternately, just make a iso of the stupid thing as soon as you have it. Backups are important.

I have all the original disks,  and the original keys, they just.... don't work anymore.
the disks work fine, can be used to reformat / reinstall xp, but the keys just stopped working one day.

Forum Games and Roleplaying / The Magical Paste Game
« on: February 07, 2012, 04:09:10 pm »
I figured it was time for me to start another non traditional forum game. (doesn't play like a game)
in this *game*  you paste. (ctrl+v)
you DON'T go somewhere to copy something to paste,
you just paste whatever was the last thing that you had copied.

here's the last thing I had copied

http://a5.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc7/422604_344790315553447_100000674439017_1092729_1757375501_n.jpg

and now it's your turn.

I have a few legal keys from years ago, and they no longer work. I've bought xp 3 times and refuse to buy it again.

And with torrents you can always download with out uploading.

Color me interested,  can you go into a little more detail as to how you're going to use said values?

But, I'm not comfortable, in that I've learned even more so that there's no time to really sit and be complacent.  One of the bad things about being a programmer: the field evolves pretty quickly.
I never really noticed that. I mean, there's new languages coming out every day, and new functionality is "invented" or usually reinvented, but programming kind of stays the same: mashing complicated stuff into tiny logical steps.

According to my book c++ used to not have strings,  and also all of the new additions to the c++ standard library that came with c++11 last year.  I'd say it evolves pretty quickly and you have to stay on top of all the new changes.

and in other news:  I just got to string manipulation in my book.  I'm as excited as a kitten with a ball of string.  Any idea as to a program I could make using it?  My book suggests making a pig latin translator.  Which I guess I will if I can't think of anything better.

granted, but along with the stuffed toys, all of the other toys also disappeared, (including video games)

I wish I wish I was a Fish.
