changing the speed at which you breath changes the PH level of your blood, and in turn allows different enzymes in your body to function at different levels. Body temperature also has a direct relation to the funcion of the enzymes in your body, but you can't control that as easy as your ph level.
every enzyme in your body has an optimal ph level and temp, most will work outside that range, but work much better when in that range.
