nevermind,

The standings so far have the winningest winners in a three-way tie for first, at seven games apiece, as scriver, manboricua, and Hugehead.

In fourth place, with 6 wins, is The Scout

In fifth place is a tie between Metalax and Shadowlord with 5 wins. Pending the rest of the giveaway, you will all receive... Nothing else, actually. I was tempted to give you all a copy of Bad Rats, though.

In seventh place is a multi-way tie at 4 games. No, you don't get a mention.

The raw data that I took by hand, copied into a LibreOffice table, and alphabatized:

The Givingist Givers will come next!

oh wow, I only signed up for 3 games, because I thought signing up for more than that would seem greedy, didn't realize people were signing up for more than 7 and / or winning up to 7 games each o_O.
There were a lot more drawings I would have signed up for.

I played it for maybe 2 hours and uninstalled it.  I was looking for a good mmo to play with a controller, but the controller support in this was clearly an afterthought

ok, yeah I take it back, this game isn't as awesome as I had thought.
if it had better controller support it would be, but playing with a controller on this feels clanky

Yeah, really it's a very well done RL, and it's a lot of fun.  Only complaint I have is it kind of falls of during endgame,  there isn't really an end and eventually you just run out of stuff to do.

Can I request that someone posts the updates / patch notes to the game in this thread whenever there is a new release like someone used to do.
I don't know if they are still working on it or what, but i haven't played this game in a while, and if there is a new release that adds a lot to the game I'd really consider playing it again.

Dragon Quest is a action-RPG MMO that was just released on steam.

~Dragon Nest is a free-of-charge Fantasy 3D Action Online Game developed by Eyedentity Games. It uses a non-targeting combat system ensuring that players have complete control over every single one of their character's movements. Dragon Nest requires users to advance their characters by teaming up and traveling into instanced dungeons.~Wikipedia

It's a Nexon game, and is like a mix between Vindictus and Mabinogi.

I'm going to be playing on the Leviatha server if any of you want to join me.
We can get a Bay12 guild started.

Here is some info on the classes and stuff.
http://dragonnest.nexon.net/guides/class-guide

and the game has full controller support, so I'm going to be playing it with a gamepad.
MMO's that play well with gamepads are awesome.

General Discussion / Re: When Kickstarter goes wrong?

The first to discover North America was Jacques Cartier.

Pff, he has nothing on the vikings. Leif Eriksson is where it's at for your North-America-discovering needs.

EDIT: Whoops, just saw I was replying to a several pages old post.
He was also wrong.

Heard of the Native Americans?

They don't count, seeing as they are native to the place they can hardly "discover" it. It's like saying you discovered a carton of milk in your fridge that you put there yourself :p

The people that became native americans discovered north america.  They weren't always there.   your argument is like saying ” oh you found this place a few hundred years ago?  Lol you've been here to long so it doesn't count  sux2BeU”

General Discussion / Re: The Dream Thread
« on: December 15, 2012, 04:29:13 pm »
last night I dreamed I was at a public pool, going up and down waterslides,
it's like, the line going to the waterslide was a waterslide that went up, then you get to the top and go down the wateslide, which deposites at the bottom of a 40 foot pool.  then I found a plastic turtle floating at the top of the  pool so I swam to it only to realize it was plastic, then I made out with a girl I haven't seen in like 5 years.   the end.
