All I know is, I want to see a team of all Halfling Fighters.  Screw party balance, screw decent classes, screw racial synergies!  4x Halfling FIGHTAHS!

With Spears.  4x Halfling Cheapskate Fighters.
You see? This is why the Swarmfighting feat is awesome. As long as they stick together, each one would get +1 for each other that they're with, for a total of +3 with all of them together!

And 4 Bucklers with the Shield Wall feat!  Plus they're all Small with a +2 racial Dex bonus!  And they get bonuses to thrown weapons, which includes SPEARS!

Monkey Grip + Swarmfighting + Shield Wall!

(Honestly, if we were to actually do this, I'd do Hexblade 3, Fighter 2, Master Thrower 2.  Hexblade 3 gives Mettle, Master Thrower gives Evasion.)

((With the waitlist, how is it going to work? When someone dies another person pops out? Is this going to be a very brutal game?))
(When someone dies, the next player(s) land in the next droppod, which will NOT be randomly rolled to determine destruction.  I'm intending to kill people regularly, but hopefully not ever TPK'ing.  If the game goes well, and I don't get to kill people, then I'll probably increase the number of players, but at that point I'll need synopses for peoples' actions.)

(Waiting on an actual action from RangerCado.  I would assume you'd be prepping a camp area, although what that entails I do not know.  Do you want a fire?  Are you going to desecrate the forest in order to build some makeshift shelter?  Would that be on ground level, or is everyone going to climb trees?)
I, at least, am just scavenging from the pod.
(Do you mean you're tearing it apart with the Droids or just trying to open the other passenger pods?  I initially interpreted that as salvaging the whole thing.)

So, in other words, five-finger discount.  Or maybe a 40-cannon discount, but even that might be a trifle light for lifting an island from an entire Empire.
400-cannon discount might do it.  Just need about 2000 people to man and maintain the cannons.  And 1000 people to feed those 2000 people.  And 1500 people to guard those 3000 people.

(GM OOC: The last update tonight will be the last update from me for a couple of days.  I chronically have plans on Thursdays that take me away from computer access all day.  I might get opportunities to hop on and check this out, but don't expect updates from me.  Rem does, of course, have free reign to post updates on Thursday, and I will treat his updates as canon. Or cannon.  Depends.

Also, about the confusion with party cohesion this morning; I had about 2 minutes to check the forums this morning, and it sounded like RangerCado was going to go on ahead without the party.  Wanted to avoid TPK this early.  Maybe in a couple of days.)

The First Steps

Everyone gathers up their gear and, with the exception of Carl, finds themselves a little burdened, but not excessively so.  Carl hefts his gear with ease, and occasionally picks up the Droid to help it over any overly large tree roots.

Selina leads the group in the direction of the droppod that hadn't collided with the other two.  The party skirts along the edge of the jungle, seeing hillside periodically.  Carl repeatedly finds himself treading into rocks repeatedly, making the journey harder on him than the rest.  After an hour of travel, most of the party has worked up a sweat.  Carl's breathing quite hard, but the rest of the party are in good spirits.  Everyone is capable of seeing the smoke rising above what can only be the droppod.

The party finishes the trek to the droppod.  The droppod itself has been crushed by the impact into the earth, and blood seeps through a few of the openings.  One of the hatches was smashed open upon impact, and you see a crushed mass of flesh.  Whatever armour the rider had is now completely useless.

You find:
A battered but operational Basic Shock Emitter
A mostly intact Droid
2 Batteries
Erroneous materials.  Equivalent value of 300 credits.

Seeing no reason not to, Carl pulls the Droid out of the mess.  He fiddles with its controls, trying various universal passcodes before finding one that brings it online.  It activates.  There appears to be nothing wrong with its programming.

The sun is a few hours from setting.  The party can tear apart the droppod for materials if Carl programs the Droids to do so.(it is unlikely anything survived the crash, but they can salvage the pod itself, although it will take some time.)

Selina and Serina both notice that it's too quiet for a planet with so much apparent life on it, although they can't place why.

It has been 2 hours since landfall.

"Why is it always me?" Selina groans and gets out of the pod, blinking to adjust to the light.

Gather up all supplie and head towards one of the pod crash sights.

If I'm unable to carry everything whith my armor and weapon equipped, mark a trail somehow.

(Best to wait for the rest of the party.  If no consensus is made, we will be treating this as splitting up.  Which is good news for the 4 waitlisted people, bad news for you!)

(GM OOC: Man, one of you is named Serina, the other is named Selina.  I'd use your characters' last names, but one of them is bloody annoying to remember.)

(Okay, well I wanted to get a post going so I just did the other d100 myself.  Not telling you the result.  It was average.)

Landfall
As your droppod decouples from the ship, you notice that there are 3 other droppods falling from the ship.  You estimate that they'll fall relatively closely to where you'll land.  They become more and more distant from you, making it nearly impossible to follow them with your eyes, though an explosion tells you that at least two of them collided.  Harvey is capable of telling where the crashed droppods are falling in relation to your landing, whereas Selina can tell where the intact one will land.

Your droppod drifts into the atmosphere and begins plummeting.  It crashlands, but the shock absorbers for the drop pod do not fail and everyone is fine.  You open the lever to the droppod, and find yourself in the jungle.

Harvey notices there's a lack of noise in the jungle.  Only the sound of wind in the background.  He figures that the jungle must end a certain ways away, towards the wind.  What does everyone do?

Would a player like to roll their demise?

I need 2 d100's, and I somewhat want to see what you guys roll.  High numbers are good for ME, bad for you.  It's no problem if you don't roll, as the numbers are only "conceptual" rather than actual data right now.  Haven't decided what I want them to do yet.

508
I am? Adds up to 3000 unless I lost the ability to count since I swapped from exo to spec armor.
Nope, it was my bad.  I was thinking Batteries were 300 for some reason.  Don't even know where that came from.

509
Aaaand now we have 2 waitlisted people.

I should probably put in the OP who's currently playing and who's waitlisted...

(( just update the first post to change the title.))
Yeah, I figured that out before i even posted.  =p
