Err, could'ya detail me what's so nice about these Magical Girl things? I'm in one right now but I'm...not participating in it, for lack of a description (for I believe it may dishonor a few...). The only thing that crosses my mind about this is Cardcaptor Sakura (which I dearly loved x3).

I personally don't know. The one time I did play in one my character was far beyond what you'd call unsavoury, inhuman, or monstrous.

But shooting down a dragon the size of New York Island with an 80-meter tall Roman ballerina mecha launched out of a railgun is awesome

Not quite - it's about the process of dying and reincarnating so much that eventually you've done literally everything you could've done, and then reaching a state of pure null forever.
At least from my understanding of it. It could be interpreted that way.
