What I never figured out is why, if Gipsy Danger had ejection pods that could let them ride out a nuclear blast and travel through the Rift, why didn't anyone else bail out like that?Cherno was designed without them - they win or they die. Interesting NPCs are very hit and miss. Some of the characters I find completely compatible with my conception of the TES universe, well-voiced, and genuinely interesting. The rest are absolutely grating in all of those respects, generally seem too contrived, and cause me to turn foot and run in the opposite direction when I encounter them. Oh, and I'm curious: which part of the writing is pretentious? I can understand most criticism of the writing in Skyrim, but pretentious I don't quite get.
