"Ah, the mortal realms! I love the weather systems here.

Right, now then, where are we all heading? We need to get out of the cove first, but if we're splitting into three groups, why not one left, one right, one straight ahead? We scout in our directions for ... let's say a week, and if we don't find anything we head back. If we do find something like a village or somesuch, we stay there and send one of our respective parties back here to meet up with the rest. Sound good?"

"Hmm. How about the sacrificial stone thing over by it?"

"I'm not so indiscriminate as that, Astranix! The sky is my domain in any case. Though I see your point about my voice..."

"Perhaps this will do better."

Garalagrulon finishes mooring the boat* and turns to his companions.

"So! Far as I can tell, our approximate strategy seems to be to go out and talk with the mortals to better ascertain the location and strength of the Enemy so that we can decide whether to strike like lighting or wear it down like hail. I propose we all stay together for now, or at the least devise some way of staying in contact with each other that doesn't involve splitting our souls if we must split up. I know from unfortunate experience how easy it is to get sidetracked on errands such as this.

Do any of you object to this, or shall we proceed on that path?"

*I figured that this probably wouldn't need rolling for given that we're basically there already; inform me if I'm incorrect.

"Method for crossing a river? I could probably just jump across. As for infantry support, well, I'm monstrously strong, have a killing weapon, and a few magical words. I don't really use the words that often, but maybe a guy or two could accompany me just to make sure I don't get ganked in the back while killing things. I'm not so high on the collateral damage meter, more specific lethality.

Unfortunately no. I remember they were there, I read them, but I replayed the Xan segment several times compared to the others and then the dream switched to trying to house relatives that were people that looked nothing like me and two dogs into a house I lived in when I was in the Caribbean, though we were in a city somewhere.
