By the physical laws of the universe your true forms are impossible.

Selina and Isaac consider the facts, trying to find out the missing connection. The powers come from the thing in the brain, which is really a channel for whatever's allowing people to violate physical laws. People who are magic are fated to be important, it seems. But what could pull all that off? The only things they can think of are the Headmistress and she doesn't do that, so that only leaves ... the universe itself?

Slayers in and of themselves are abnormal.

((All righty, one second ...)))

Your magic breaks relativity in order to rewrite evidence. Isaac can generate matter from seemingly nothing, as well as Selina.

((I fully support this suggestion.))
((And we outfit it with rockets.))

"For the last question, could it be deception perhaps? After all, Catherine created an illusion so perfect that it became real, blurring the line between illusion magic and conjuration magic... my own magic can make object nonexistent if I overload it..."
But magic itself is a violation of the natural laws of your universe, is it not? These overloads seem to merely be an enhanced expression of this.

You both are close to the answer. Answer me this: what in your findings is similar? What might Selina's findings mean for Isaac's discovery? What could have the means to manipulate the fate of certain individuals and let them do things that are, by the very nature of the universe, impossible?

16717
What have you uncovered?

Selina: (100!) (Huh. Well, haven't had one of those in a while.)
Isaac: (100!) (...nicely done, Random.org. Nicely done.)

Selina discovers that indeed, magic users are far more influential in the skein of fate than others, though not towards one specific goal; instead, they seem simply more likely to have important event occur to them. She also notices something ... odd. Multiple individuals were noted to have done completely nothing of note in their lives before they received magic, and then gone on to run whole continents. Is it possible that its the magic that influences fate and not the person?

Isaac, reading about this channel, discovers some very curious things. Firstly, it develops spontaneously upon the person obtaining magic. Second, it appears that magic users recieve the energy necessary for their impossible deeds from this channel, though no one knows where from. Thirdly, examination of the brains of magic users after death reveals a lack of this structure even though live examination reveals it in the same individual before they died. Odd, that.

The census data reveals that there is indeed a slight brain abnormality in magic users, though the data and position in the brain seem to suggest a different function than the seeing of faults ... (78) it almost looks like a channel of some sort.

Selina looks through some history books, trying to find out how many notable figures actually possessed, or were suspected of possessing magical abilities.
(96)(you guys get very lucky rolls, it seems)

It isn't necessarily all historical figures that possessed magic, she discovers, but a significant number of successful reformists and such seem to be made up of them. More interesting is the fact that all but one figure in the category of hugely influential had magic of some sort. A pattern of some sort there? Very influential people in fate tend to be magic?

16722
Perhaps. If you wish, there is adequate census data to test your hypothesis.

Well then. We should probably go ask about the places of work, see what the lowlife perspective on this is.

If Cromwell agrees, go with him to the nearest Manufactorum to question the workers for any unusual happenings.

There doesn't seem to be anything related to the core, oddly enough. Though she does notice an aside by the author noting that almost everyone possessing magic becomes a big name, an important person in one or more ways. That could be relevant.

"How to explain it... Basically, how we see and feel reality. Being able to see its weak points, which could possibly explain our powers, and our ability to manipulate said points. Of course, reality is filled with them, and based on which magic we've been gifted with, is what we can do with these weak points."
Isaac scratches his head.
Assuming your theory is true, what gives you the ability to see these weak points?

16725
((Core of the planet? Just making sure here.))
