Though Thorimus does technically sleep, he goes into a low-activity state while his cells rest from the state of furious photosynthesis that allows him to interact with the Free Bound. He thinks still, isolated from the world but still aware, whiling his way into the night with thoughts of strange teachings far beyond the normal ken of his kind.
