*claps*

And Myrln continues to act like a quail on crack.

[Alpha Party | Abandoned Manor]
Abruptly, Myrln sprang out of his chair and stood on the table before them all, grinning, hands on hips.
Well, that's an agreement! I have business elsewhere, so ta ta for now~
He then performs a spectacular backflip off the table before vanishing, having cloaked himself in a veil and run off somewhere.

[Alpha | What Remains Of The Market]
Myrln stalked through the remains of the marketplace, marvelling at the world he saw. So much magic still remained from what the fools had told him was a battle of the gods themselves. How exciting! Breathing in, he marvelled at how he could almost literally breathe the magic in. Not that that really mattered to him anyhow, but it was invigorating.
Now then, what was I looking for? Oh yes, improving myself. Yes. Now then, where are the - that one looks permissible.

Myrln heads to what remains of the market to go change the enchantment on his staff from fire spells to cold spells. He coincidentally goes to the same person he did last time.

Esteemed vendor, greetings! I'd like to switch this staff's enchantment from fire spells to cold. The heat doesn't jibe with me.

You're a Winterfae, the cost and damage are already reduced and increased.

If you want more, well, be ready to pay or to just kill the owner, steal all of his shit, and hope the sweet sweet loot you take is going to work for you.
Indeed. If I can reduce the cost and increase the damage any more, I'll be even more ridiculous.

It's ok xantalos, you just need some sleep buddy.
I'm actually sleeping right now while typing this.

17406
That's only because we haven't fallen from a great height.
Yet.
...
Myrln's probably going to go stirring up some trouble before we leave anyhow.
And getting his staff re-enchanted to lower the cost of cold spells, if that's alright, Ross.

Oh, and it is specifically illegal to set off a nuke.
Where I live there is a $50 fine for detonating a nuclear device, you can be ticketed for spitting on the sidewalk, and urinating in public is considered a felony where as in the rest of the county it's a misdemeanor. Also the city council debates every year whether or not to ban plastic grocery bags, fails to reach an agreement, and has done this every year since 1980.
I don't think you'll care about a $50 fine if you detonate a nuclear bomb in the town.
Then again your whole town sounds ... odd.

Maybe I should actually try that instead of writing everything off the cuff.

Reading the Renegade Cause HP fanfic. WHY THE FUCK IS THIS LISTED AS TRAGEDY/CRIME? It's a fucked up horror story! Freaking hell this is creeping me out.
An alarming number of people don't understand the difference between a tragic story and a sad story. Tragic stories normally END with horrible/sad situations (see: Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, Othello).
Hoo boy. That, and Romeo and Juliet was basically a comedy up until the letter didn't arrive on time. So for three quarters of the play or so. Hell, Romeo's famous "romantic" soliloquy in the balcony scene was a brilliant skewering of the Petrarchan conceit. If we're going to be anal about it, it wasn't even a tragedy in the purest sense; Romeo and Juliet didn't die because one or both of them had a fatal character flaw that led to their fall, they died because they were stupid kids (not that they in particular were unintelligent, just that children that age tend to be... less than wise and careful in their decisionmaking--it's why we don't let them drink) and just about every adult authority figure in their lives was an utter incompetent.

Star-crossed lovers? A tragic tale? They were what, 13 and 16 in the original story? More like a lesson on why kids getting married for TWOO WUV might not be such a good idea.
This. I never got why everyone thought it was a true love story when the way we're introduced to Romeo is him mourning the other girl leaving him, who he'd clearly fallen deep in love with after a day of knowing her. That ain't love, that's infatuation.
