OOC: Yep. He's a 63 year old Feral World psyker and gives no shits.

Life Advice / X Games: to wait or buy now?
« on: October 14, 2013, 08:38:57 pm »
I've been considering buying an X game (those nifty spacecraft simulators) for a while now and I've recently decided to snag myself a copy of Albion Prelude. But then I hear rumors of a new game called X: Rebirth. I hear you can walk around in your ship! Talk to crew! Visit cities!
But I also hear that you're limited to controlling one ship, can't control capital ships, and a few more things. So my question to you, Bay12, in your professional capacity as the Internet, is: should I just buy Albion Prelude or wait for Rebirth?

And then Darnos walks in, spoiling the moment.
I was going to ask your opinion on something but I see that the staff haven't fixed your hand yet. Slow of them.

Seriously, people. Why kill each other? Collectively, we lose power every time someone dies.
Good question. He never did tell us to kill each other instead of, I don't know, conquering a nation as only a large group of enormously powerful yet drunken wizards can do.
Because YOU GUYS ARE OBSTRUCTING MY WAY TO THE BOOZE
But I gave you a hat! Logic dictates you can just brew that into booze.
BOOOOZE

STR: (47+28)
Darnos walks up and punches the dummy that Lyle broke his hand on. Nothing in particular happens.
Guess he really needs to learn not to punch with the wrong knuckles.

((Oh this is gonna be GOOD. The first action by Psyker results in a daemon being summoned. I may get in faster than previously thought.))
((Just wait until I get a higher Psy rating.))
((If you can. From what I remember, daemons summoned by Psyker mishaps home in on the Psyker that summoned them, so it may just make a beeline right for you. Have fun!))
((I just have to survive 9 rounds with a daemon on my ass. Easy peasy, I can just summon more to get the first one to back off.))

((I seem to exude a psyker disruption field. Or possibly I'm just a demon magnet. This is the 2nd time I've had something go horrifically wrong with psychic powers near me, although last time it resulted in unbound demonhost, not just a sissy lesser demon :P))
((I have the tendency for stuff like this to happen, so I guess it was our powers combined that let me do this on my FIRST ACTION.))

Now, by "demon", are we talking imps or bloodthirsters?
Generic daemonhost, Fear rating 3.
Dang.
That's likely still sufficient to TPK a party that's literally in it's first fight of the campaign.

Jason is off somewhere. Probably a pub/tavern around the area.
Which exist. The drinks are all served hot and are spicy as hell though.

Oh frigg. I swear, this is why they kicked me out of the village. Attempt a simple healing and they rise into the air, chanting horrible names not to be known by most men, and slaughter a few people - it just means the spirits are jealous of me and my large collection of souls! They want to steal them!

Aim gun at daemon. Blamblamblam.
Tell Remuthra's character when the thing comes around the corner.

The town is odd, to say it plainly. It's a flat plain behind a ridge in the mountain, making it hidden from the outside world, mostly. Walls of obsidian rise high on either side of the plain, with holes dotting them that people apparently live in. The plain, for what it is, has a decent set of buildings that look like rock piles from a distance but are revealed to be flowing architecture as you draw closer. It's centered around two pools, each about the size of a small lake, one of magma, one of water colored a burnished pink.
The inhabitants are fire beings much like Jorn, who I'll leave up to Vgray to do stuff with. There's a priest to Az-Sho and a fairly large temple at one end of town, though Aurik and etc aren't here.
