It seems to be getting stronger, actually. Seems that the wolfthing feeds on magic.
It begins mauling his thigh with increased ferocity, mangling his foot to the point of uselessness.

It impacts, though the wolfthing continues and sinks those fangs of it into his calf.
The wounds hurt, certainly, but they don't seem to leave any noticeable wounds, though he does feel a slight draining effect.

They're more an odd mixture of (secret) and (secret) than actual shadows, but they look like them.))

The wolfthing is knocked to the side by the impact, though the enchantment doesn't have any particular effect. It gets up, slower than before, and lunges at Jason's legs.

The wolf in question pounces forward upon being slashed at, leaping over the blade with the swiftness of a shadow. It leaps off the blade and slams into Jason, knocking him squarely on his back. Though it appears to be made out of shadow, there's the disquieting impression of nasty teeth that are about to be used for mauling.
Like next second right now.

Tasrak produces a large collar from his bag. He holds it tight and mutters an incantation.

"I hope this thing still works."

Given that Jason's about 15 miles ahead of the others, yeah it works.

SA!Lucas remains with Yuki because there is no real reason to not besides Shipping but then again that's also a good reason to do it.

Lucas carefully advances, pistol out. Catherine on the other hand, just follows a short bit behind, wondering how much more of this whole anti magic thing she can take. Hopefully there'd still be water at the place they were going towards.

Nevertheless, Jason flies on, apparently. As he looks at the landscape, he'd see the landscape become steadily steeper and hillier, slowly becoming covered with vegetation. The magic effect is at the level where he's only at a third his initial strength when the tiring effect that began about 10 miles back becomes too much for the raven to fly onward. It lands in the midst of a clump of trees, brambles covering the ground all around him.
There's crackling noises coming from the brush around him.
