« on: August 19, 2013, 03:42:57 pm »Belated Media revisited the What If The Star Wars Prequels Were Good rewrite project with a pretty brilliant Episode II Rewrite (for the curious, the Episode I rewrite is here). Suddenly there are consistent characters with actual development, an interesting and compelling plot, and all sorts of stuff that would have made me love it. Oh, and now they have storyboard illustrations to visualize the scenes too, which is pretty awesome.SGDRFGATDBGUDGFTDFTBABBLING
The rewrite of Count Dooku was great, it makes sense to use Darth Maul as the consistent Sith Badguy, Palpatine's plans actually make sense, Yoda stays a philosophical and non-violent leader (as is consistant with his character) instead of dropping his beliefs to become a tiny ninja, we see an actual story where Anakin and Obi-Wan were friends, and so on.
I can't wait to see what they do for III. It's really nice to see someone not just tearing down something bad, but proposing ways to improve it out of appreciation for the bits of good in it.
