He never expressed any interest in women from what I can tell, and the majority of his interactions are with other scientist dude, though no signs of sexuality are shown either case. You could say he's gay but was focused on the mission or somesuch?

Getting up a tad unsteadily - sleeping on the hallway floor leaves one sore - he realizes something.
*stomach grumble*

With that, he totters off to the Cafeteria, (88) finding it after a bit of wandering, and promptly begins stuffing his face with food of any description.
