So as my last idea was far too overpowered and not really suited for this game, allow me to try again:
Alien Species: The Nalkvar are a rather unique species of plant-like organisms. The central body of a Nalkvar is somewhat like a pod of some sort, a sphere around 10-15 feet wide covered with sensory organs and with roots growing out of it. These roots spread all throughout the surrounding area, gathering nutrients. However, due to sparse nutrients in their home planet's soil, they have evolved a way of mobility, so to speak. Near the main growth of the Nalkvar are several podlike structures, grown from the Nalkvar. Within them are the comatose forms of their means of interaction with the outside world, the Free Bound. They have four legs in a square pattern with an insecticide torso mounted on top. This torso possesses four arms and highly developed sensory organs, including at least four pairs of eyes. These Free Bound are given instructions through neural fibers linked into their spinal system while still in the pods, and then released from the pods to perform their assigned task - ostensibly to kill animals to bring their corpses to the central growth, but they can be used for a variety of tasks. The Free Bound do have their own minds, but they are relatively simple, as their personality is reset every time they return to the pods, which is usually included in their instructions. They can also be used to talk to the Nalkvar itself through the Nalkvar giving it instructions for words through the neural fibers; the Free Bound essentially serve as their avatars in the world. As a Nalkvar ages, more pods are grown and more Free Bound are produced.
Alien Individual: Thorimus, a young Nalkvar, was born no more than 200 years before his transfer onto the station - older Nalkvar are near impossible to move due to their dense roots - making him only 213 years old - young for his species. He is knowledgable, friendly, and curious, making his post as Station Librarian/Data Correlator appropriate to him.
-Data Correlator - essentially a librarian/customer service/guide type of thing-
Again, OP? No? You tell me.
